How’s the Armstrong Siddley running?

We we at Bamburgh Castle a few weeks ago, Armstrong’s pile, this was there.

Sir Siddeley is enjoying his retirement thanks. He’s in the garage for the Winter, as he doesn’t want to get mud and salt on his new suit. He’s gone from being a slightly tatty, old, but useful codger to a bit of a garage queen now, I’m afraid to say. Just local jaunts planned for him next year - no more foreign forays.

Dear Woolworths, I am finding it impossible to purchase new bulbs to repair my Christmas tree light set that I bought from you just 22 years ago. I've found myself forced to spend £5 on a replacement set from B&Q #disgusted

we have a set of incandescent bulb lights we keep for one of the small trees around the house. Last week when they were going up Jeanette asked me to have a look at them as they were not working. Sadly two bulbs had been broken and I thought it was going to be their demise. I recalled I had bought some bulbs 3/4 years ago and asked Jeanette if she had any idea if they were thrown out when the top of the kitchen units were cleared to allow the kitchen to be painted as that is where I would have thrown them. Not only did she know where they were likely to be she even identified the corner of said draw they would be in!!! So the ghastly lights live another year (at least)!

I had a fantastic set of bulbs from Makro about 15 years ago. They had red and yellow bi-coloured bulbs. I couldn't find replacements for love not money cos they were ace.

Now have plain white :(
