Cheap wheel bearings on Aliexpress

When you say clean it up do you mean remove the hub itself and try and clean up the bearing, or do you mean as part of disassembling the whole unit?
The unit cannot be disassembled unless you cut it in half. Unfortunately the internal bearing is held in place by the two hub half’s being hydraulically pressed together which rolls over one end of the internal splined shaft. This removes the need for a large nut but in turn makes it unserviceable.

As suggested, cleaning the whole assembly and blowing out any particles may improve sensor pickup. But once deterioration starts within the assembly a new replacement is the only option.

So, how can you brush a bearing ? And how can you brush a speed sensor ?
Except destroy them and insert pollution I don't see.

Operation of this bearing:

This shows a cartridge type bearing, which is not what are fitted to these cars.

The part which is magnetised for the Hall effect sensor in these bearings is the peened over end of the hub, rather than the sensor itself. This can be seen in this picture.

Corrosion occurs to the end of the hub, which may be reducing the magnetic flux, reducing the pickup on the sensor ring. This is why cleaning the end of the hub might help.

Perhaps have a look at one before suggesting others don’t know what they are talking about ;)

Thanks, but I well know the part.

If you can show me what area you are going to clean and how it will restore the speed sensor I am very interested.
End of hub have no effect on sensor.

I'm waiting result of this operation. Please keep me informed ;-)

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks. The pickup is in the static ring (black) I guess and then the hub end as you describe is or is partially magnetised. Corrosion of that part would affect the strength of the magnetic field as you suggest.

...also, that black ring, is that integrated or is it possibly a separate component that is fixed onto the main housing?

A while ago, i needed to replace mine as well, due to noise, which means that the sensor worked. I tried a used one, but i had the opposite effect: no noise, but also no signal, and i had a fault on the dash. I searched everywhere and on some Toyota forums i found that some people suggested cleaning the rubber part and the signal would get back to normal, which in my case did not work. I believe that it never works, as it's not only a matter of dirt.
I have also searched for alternatives on aftermarket brands and the result was zero. Only on company told me that they were in the process of building an aftermarket bearing, but it needed more time to complete.
Luckily enough, just at the time when i was mentally ready ( :) ) to pay 800 pounds for a new one, i came across an offer from a UK dealer, who offered it for 300. Paid, installed and went to the mountains to drive my car. Some months later i spoke to another UK dealer (the best known here on the forum) who also offered the bearing for 300. I asked him why he didn't tell me this earlier, and he replied that the discount came from the factory.

So, i believe it's a matter of patience to find the correct price. We all know that Maserati does not help their customers with aftermarket parts, this is a scenario we have to live with.
And, to conclude, even if cleaning the rubber would be succesfull, which i doubt, with a new bearing now, i feel more secure while cornering. As for aliexpress i do have some positive and some negative experiences, as others mentioned. Not all Chinese products are ****, but there are a lot for sure.

A solution is in progress. New sensor rings made by a quality manufacturer so all you do is remove the top ring, clean the bearing up, fit the new ring and away you go.

Watch this space.

Sooner rather than later I hope.....As this week looks like I've just got my first sensor failure. Not too bad, 5 years and~30k miles of GranTurismo ownership.
