Hi All

Just wanted to share an experience with you all around these guys:
http://www.bjscartrimmers.co.uk/bjscartrimmers-pages/Home

I got contact with them via a bartering scheme I've been involved in, and contacted him when I bought the 4200 about the bolster and interior.

Got up there today, and watch while Barry applied magic for about an hour.

I think the before and after speak for themselves.

When finished he said 'It's not perfect. I need to get it out and spray it, but just can't do it in this weather. If you bring it back, I'll sort it out properly'
So we started talking about what else he could do. The door pocket (we'll probably go for a contrast), hand brake handle etc.
Agreed that I'd bring it back.
'How much for the bolster, Barry'
'Nothing, we'll sort it out when you bring it back'
Speechless!

Hope it's useful, even though his site is rubbish! ;)

I take it he brushed or sponged on a coloured colonising fluid?

I have got red, tan and black at home and even as a DIY'er the results are brilliant.

Your recommendation is perfectly timed for me. I'm looking to have my Hawk trimmed in the new year. This chap is not one hour from me.

Thanks.

He did, with a thorough clean in advance. Having seen his other work, I will certainly be taking the 4200 back. Particularly with his whole attitude of 'It's not as good as it should be'

What say people about contrasting door pockets? Tan? Grey? Thoughts?

There is mate; imagine the headline, "GT Dan arrested in connection with the Jimmy Saville/ Michael Jackson paedo ring". Personally I don't think that would help sales, especially if you used Max Clifford for the PR and DLT for the party!

It's good when you find a true tradesman.
Local to me I use an excellent trimmer, that actually has found himself trimming motorbike seats more than cars, that he finds amusing. Did one, got into a magazine, then it snowballed! Easy work too, motorbike seats are not that big!
Anyway bought a pair of new old stock Recaro seats for my Triumph Stag. I wished to retrim the rear seats to match, so I bought from Recaro matching leather cloth and fabric. Took the rear seat around to him with one of the Recaro's so he could match the pattern. He didn't want me to leave my Recaro seat, didn't even make any notes, but two weeks later popped around to collect my rear seat...wow...the detail was fantastic, a perfect match with nice detailing I would never have thought of myself!
