?angry scots
Amused would be more apt, watching the headless chickens
?angry scots
actually I would like to think BJ's reply would end with "off" , think sturgeon has delusions of grandeur, it's seems all about her and not really about the angry scots
The SNP accepted that their referendum was a 'once in a generation' thing, but I think they could reasonably argue that Brexit has changed the landscape and their latest election victory has changed the politics, so they should have another vote.
But it has always seemed irrational to me that many Scots reject 'being ruled from London' but are desperate to 'be ruled from Brussels'.
Just on popcorn at the moment but I'll be getting supplies in to last 15-20 years whilst Brexit is getting doneDunnah what you’re on but excellent effort to stir things up.

It would be interesting to see Scotland re-join the EU as an independent nation (with the Euro), and in some ways helpful to have another land border between the UK and the EU, forcing everyone to be a bit more pragmatic about how that would work. It would certainly be interesting if in 50 years NI was part of the Republic, and an independent Wales had (also) re-joined the EU, and England was still out!
Good points, unfortunately the issue is that Scots don’t feel represented by Westminster. The SNP accepted that their referendum was a 'once in a generation' thing, but I think they could reasonably argue that Brexit has changed the landscape and their latest election victory has changed the politics, so they should have another vote.

When English voters find it hard to vote for a candidate, imagine how others feel.
whilst I don't profess to be any sort of expert on this subject, as all of UK must leave now I really cant see the scots wanting to re-join the EU and in any case I very much doubt the EU would accept them anyway, my prediction is once were out the scots will want stay out as well, place your bets now
Call it a draw between leave labours and those that voted for BJ rather steptoe in the beauty paradeDunnah; you seem to be counting the Labour vote in your figures there mate? The never actually said they were remain, more ‘sit on the fence’.

Good points and once again can I say I’m not a believer of an independent Scotland.Well they should feel a little more represented now!
And, unfortunately that is the way parliamentary democracy works. There will always be a contingent with less seats that feels underrepresented, but the SNP are choosing to make that about geography rather than policy, and are then choosing independence rather than influence as their easy way out.
So when Scottish tory constituencies feel underrepresented at Holyrood, presumably the SNP will agree to their independence to self-govern too...
A couple of land owners and a couple of farmers perhaps, ( Same thing really.)why On earth would someone in Scotland feel represented by Bj?

CouncilsSo that’s the 32 county constituencies then.
I’m not sure the Scots learn it either. They’re always banging on about Longshanks or Bonnie Prince Charlie (there were more Scots on the “English” side at Culloden) yet rarely mention they chose the Act of Union after bankrupting the whole country in a dodgy share scheme for a swamp infested bit of the New World (that act paved the way in trade for the economies of Glasgow and Edinburgh) or that our monarch is directly descended from a Scottish one.
To be fair- Don’t you think sturgeon shows less sensitivity or inclusivity than any other living human? She pours diesel on the them and us mentality. I am sure she isn’t so kind as to use the word ‘us’. The way she celebrated a fellow party leader (fellow woman in politics and fellow remainer) losing her seat closely , I thought , was unprofessional and showed her true colours. I know she isn’t representative of all Scotland but how she is acting (and covering up her previous leaders serious sexual misdemeanours- this will be box office when it comes out)- is promoting angst and division. Just my opinion. Based on observations.MrMickS, full marks for sensitivity- Kudos for using the word “Scotland”.
Some of us were becoming accustomed to the title of “they or them”.
Mmmmmnnn.
This is an excellent post.Perhaps a little reading about the Darien scheme would help understand who helped scupper the proposals to colonise a swamp area in Central America. The scheme proposed by Scot William Paterson ( who founded the Bank of England around the same time ) was fairly sound at the time.
Our monarch is not related to any Scottish monarch of the past. When the authorities in London decided they didn't want a Catholic monarch ( what they would have got from the Scottish line ) they searched out some distant relative in Germany who was Protestant to fulfil the roll.
Not all Scots want independence. It is as devisive as subject as Brexit is/was.

This was a little condescending. I produce lots of natural gas and I don’t eat shortbread.Let them go. Let’s see how long their shortbread and natural gas stores last in a carbon neutral world. It may be just me- but I have never heard sturgeon talk about Anything other than Scottish independence. Does she have any reason to think they would be economically better off on their own?
I don't think we should be uncharitable to the poor girl; it can't be easy going through life with a chip of that size on your shoulder. To be fair- Don’t you think sturgeon shows less sensitivity or inclusivity than any other living human?
