we were saying the amount of people brushing past cars as they walked past was bad and how they will probably be getting scratched to ****, there were handprints on a lot of the cars too :(. where the maseratis were parked everyones coats/bags/kids/shins were bashing across the front of every car they went past :(
Hmmm....Now I'm quite glad I couldn't make it. I would have been very upset if I'd seen my car being bumped and scratched.

Doris was on the corner and a bit back from the rest, so I think managed to avoid the worst of the scratches. Matt was parked at a place where people kept trying to squeeze between his car & the wall so plenty of contact from the great (in a hurry) unwashed.

Pics of the car fitted with the new wheels, Matt? What finish did you go for in the end?

Went for a slightly darker version with a bit more sparkle/flake of the OEM Grigio that they came with, centre caps too and a set of stainless bolts to boot, looks great.

All in, £200 for all 4 fitted, tyres pushed off the rim and painted inside and out.

I got them to do the centre caps as they had started to corrode but I dont have the silver exposed polished Tridents anymore but they do match perfectly and look good IMHO.

They also did the wheels that I sold to Robin/Team GCR and they look excellent too. Very thick paint with lots of gloss.

You could always silver paint the tridents Matt..?? She's looking good..!!

I thought about masking them up and scalping them out then place them on a flat wet and dry paper and gently knock the paint off to expose the tridents but I dont think it will work TBH.

Siddlesham bodyshop, ask for Nin 01243 842327

They have just moved to a unit in Bognor Regis and now have a full size oven and are fully water based paint.

I can't speak highly enough of him.

A complete car repaint is £2.5k cash but it will be as good as a £4k paint job, they are excellent and their prep is second to none which is what makes a paint job.

Get some silver paint, spray, or paint on to a flat surface, then dip the upturned caps on to the paint, the tridents should get a coating and nothing else..!!

Yes I think your right Rob.

I am quite good at masking from my airbrushing days, I use a clear mask so its easy to see.

Spray with some VHT chrome paint I have, and some lacquer, job done.

Thankfully no marks on my car but I did stay close and was further up the street and so close to the wall there was no way of walking round the car.

Looking good matt I think you need to do the centre caps though ☺

Hmmm the tridents on my 4200 wheels were seperate to the centers. They had plastic pins passing through the holes in the center caps and flattened on the reverse side to stop them coming off....Those look embossed/pressed into the molding?

Just had my new refurbed wheels fitted and looking round my car, its got loads of scratches on it where people have been brushing past the car.

If I am honest, I dont think I will be going to this event again with my Maserati as I am not happy with the lack of care the barging public have bestowed upon my car.
I've got similar......plus a number of new chips on the bonnet which I can't for the life of me explain.

When I walked last one of the black GS could have been Matt's there looked to be some marks on the nose of the car.
