Surprising really as you would have expected the cost of the cars would have allowed them to finance the development of a driver's airbag. Anyway:

I did not understand that one either as Lambos all have drivers airbags IIRC.

I am sure they will fit the airbags, 15 slated for the US Market, it can't be that hard to find 15 steering wheels off scrapped Alfa 156's now can it!

Hmm.. I'm not up to date with US legislation but I remember Porsche not being allowed to sell the 959 over there because of the homolXXXX'n legislation as to get it they had to supply two cars for crash testing and at an undisclosed (£1,000,000 +) production cost at that time they were not prepaired to do it for the small production run....

Bill Gates and one other (may have been Ralph Loren) imported their own and Gates had a computer symulation program created to prove the theory and this was accepted along with established crash evidence from a couple of the European ones that were short lived!
