Yes but my point is mines 50% more economical than yours and just as fast if not fasterIs that cruise control set to 55mph, that could explain the 40 plus mpg! My QPV can hit 30 if I do that!
A VW is a car for the people, Audi is vorsprung durch technikIsn't Audi translated "overpriced VW"...? Will see myself out...
May be one for the differences thread...but don't you have any pickup trucks there?
It certainly makes more sense as a daily!Yes but my point is mines 50% more economical than yours and just as fast if not faster
Ah, yes...have spent a little time in SA, and had a very good friend who was an Afrikaner. I know that you have bakkies, for sure...just don't know why my friends in the UK don't explore the rich, cultural significance of 22" wheels and gun racks (like here)...A VW is a car for the people, Audi is vorsprung durch technik
We have lots of pick-up trucks here (in South Africa) - we call them “bakkies“. Bakkie is the Afrikaans word for “little container”.
Afrikaans is mostly 17th century Dutch with some Malay, German & French and is spoken by the Afrikaners (Dutch descendants) and most of the Coloured population. The Coloured population in turn is a mix of Khoi/San (the original inhabitants of the Cape) with white, Malay (slaves) and some black mixed in. It’s complicated in S.A. but also interesting. Diversity is the name of the game here, we have 9 official languages..
Thanks and yes it was on the list. I've had a couple of older E39 540i M Sports that I loved. Wish I still had the last one TBH. I need to get out and have a look at the ones on the list I never got to.Rockits have you considered a bmw 540i touring? We bought one a few months ago and I absolutely love it. Can do 4 hours non stop and very comfy, then with kids out of the car it just flies. Used to have a 135i so new the engine. Ours has 20" with the sport pack (but am running 19" with full run flat winters which gives a slightly better ride). I just love the driving position, and feel of the steering wheel and controls etc. Had xc90 for last 4 years (d5 then 3 T8's. Great cars, but not drivers cars. Though T8 less tank like as I assume battery weight lower down helped. Basically front wheel drive though and 300hp through front wheels is not that much fun. We love the blue with the bmw.
It maybe too similar to your e43 though??

Correct they're the 3 litre twin turbo (or twin scroll perhaps!) that is the basis for most 3litres it seems for bmw. Great engine, and grips so well with 4wdThanks and yes it was on the list. So the newer 540i petrols are not V8's any more but inline 6's?
If you don't like ugly cars, you won't like any modern BMW...If you don’t like your AMG you won’t like any modern BMW (Alpina excluded).
If you look at the outer bolsters on the backrest there should be a leather pull tab. Only 60:40 and if you fold the 60 side down you need to take the centre headrest out or it will smash your rear vent. Ask me how I know
Well stone me. They hid that well. Thanks!

Did you not read the owners manual?
The sequel is rarely as good...Well yes, but didn't really think the section called 'Cargo Area' was going to be that thrilling having been riveted by the section on rear seats (which makes no mention at all of the folding capability)
