Anyone found a good interesting to drive but still comfortable practical daily?

Have you driven a Stelvio? I’m 2 years in with mine and I still absolutely love it. It’s immensely comfortable, has all the modern tech needed, drives like a car with great handling and precise steering whilst also being able to carry loads. I’m considering a change to a QV, but the ‘normal’ petrol versions have 280bhp as standard.

I've not actually it will take a look. Are they more sporty focussed though rather than comfort? The QV is a bit of a weapon!

My ownership experience suggests a Stelvio matches your criteria very well. It’s not wallowy like other SUVs, but it’s also not hard or crashy like I’d imagine a sporty estate would be. It’s a very enjoyable drive, has plenty of go and steers like it shouldn’t for its type. Interior and general quality is head and shoulders above any other Alfa I’ve owned before and everyone who’s been in it says how comfortable it is. I also like that there aren’t loads in the road so it stands out as being a bit different. It handles plodding along or pressing on with equal aplomb.

Only interior options seem to be black or red.

How about the dark green Alina B10 V8S Touring for sale at Classic Hero garage? One of just 4 built in RHD. So what if it’s a smidge over budget - it’s super cool.

I bought a 2017 E43 AMG Estate towards the end of last year aiming for a comfortable practical daily that was still interesting to drive. I cannot fault how well it drives as a drivers car and MB have achieved a great deal in this regard. Just finding it a little less comfortable than I was hoping.

I just thought with the modern adaptive air suspension setups that two into one would fit better but it seems not so much for my needs. I'm looking for something biased 60-70% comfort ideally. Whereas the E43 flips it the other way so maybe biased 60-70% sporty and 30-40% comfort. The E43 ticks so many boxes and is a great achievement for MB as it is a really good drivers car. It does everything I need so well and has a lovely cabin/interior with all the spec I wanted. Just need something a little bit more comfortable. I must be getting old!

Anyone had the same quandary and found the ideal solution? I just need to do some longer journeys for work occasionally and carry some kit to site but still want something nice and interesting to drive.
Edit: Forget this. I just got further down the thread and read you tried already.
Has it got 20" wheels? Thought about trying with an 18 or 19? My e class runs on 18" staggered and it is a perfect ride. I ruined it a little putting cross Climates on it so a set of michelin ps5 will be going on in the spring.

Very nice.....but struggling with £42k. Also it goes on building sites and general daily use so not sure it will stay as nice. Lovely thing though.

First thing I did was drop the 20's to 19's as thought the optional 20's with 30/35 series tyres would a bit too harsh. So located a set of the stock E43 19's on 35/40 series tyres and it has helped but not really silly noticeably. Not enough for me to be happy.

I think the chassis is just tuned to be more driver focussed. It is a cracking drivers car and very focussed to give a great handling, sharp and enjoyable car to drive. Just a little too harsh for me for a majority of my use. Maybe a younger person or someone wanting a more driver focussed car would be perfectly fine with it.

Spec is now very limited for new cars, Stellantis removed most of the options for an unknown reason. Most cars I’ve seen have black interiors, but there is red (very nice), brown and tan. There are also leather and alcantara mixes on some models.
