Ahhh Parkgate! Lived there for several years and fed the kids on excellent Nicholl’s ice cream after a walk on the wall. High tides on the Dee would flush out the rats who ate their way into our house via cheap soil piping! This was cool! Having an ice cream yesterday in Parkgate. This was the picture on the wall. And this is the photo I took outside! Shame it was parked the wrong way round...
A lovely place to live I would have thought apart from the rats. Know what you mean about the high tides, they always bring out the 'Twitchers' in droves! Fish & Chips from the only chip shop there are supposed to be one of the best in the country and there prices verify that!Ahhh Parkgate! The owners car? A frequent customer perhaps (look out for a lopsided 2CV on the move in Parkgate)? This was cool! Having an ice cream yesterday in Parkgate. This was the picture on the wall. And this is the photo I took outside! Shame it was parked the wrong way round...
The owner was a nice chap called Joe who is the son of the lady who owns the ice cream shop. He is the one serving in the illustration so he tells me! Weirdly there was another 2CV there that day but quite scabby compared to that minter! The owners car? A frequent customer perhaps (look out for a lopsided 2CV on the move in Parkgate)?
