One of the most useful cars I have ever bought. Can get a washing machine in there really comfortable seats economical and no silly electrical systems and the gear change is sheer class mate.

And when you changed the clutch, which was rather difficult the correct way

We used to cut out a large square panel out of the front bulkhead, It was miles easier..
then just pop rivet a sheet of ali back in place, glue the carpets back in. no one was the any wiser
There must have been thousands of Renault 4's that had the treatment
