We are but whilst we wait for Maserati, what are we supposed to do?
I certainly won't be taking up running or wearing Lycra that's for sure.
I'm thinking of getting a few R4'S to have on the go when I get the right workshop and keep me busy.

I’m ashamed to admit I have a little French car. I have had it over a quarter of a century and it was my much loved daily for a long time. Trouble is, I had my head turned by a Venturi and as it was worth bugger all back then, I took it to a local garage ten years ago and he’s still “working” on it. It has become a standing joke everytime I pop in. Will it be done by Christmas, which Christmas? etc.

It will rise to the top of the queue eventually and once it’s back, I’ll see if it’s as good as I remember it. If not, it will fit nicely into the “one in, one out” policy that the management has since introduced.

Yep, their sole purpose in life was to rust, makes it more amazing that I have one of 4 RHD remaining examples. 3 of which are still drivable.
My father did a little over 200,000 miles but it failed it’s 2nd MOT and the rest is history, I remember it as being quite a nice comfortable car.

5 years...you did well.
The series 2 (indicators in wing) were better. We had a series 1 (indicators in bumper) and I came out one morning and the bonnet was not shut, opened it and the shock turrets shot up. Think it was a 1977 and must have been ten years old.

On viewing a property today in the Barn was a Renault 25 Bacarra and a mint Lada Riva. The interior on the 25 is amazing.

Had one in the local garage for an MOT when my Spider was in. Always had a soft spot for them. Crazy car.

Yep, loved these....Not many French cars I have ever wanted but this was one of them. Most French cars are made from baked beans tins and have electrics that make Italian cars feel reliable. Only problem with the Spyder was it was too much money against a Lotus if my memory serves me right but it was quirky which they French can do well when they put their mind to it.
