Maserati 4200 Rear Tie Rod does not seem to be available as a seperate part nor the bearing on it's own. Anyone ever changed one?
Looked on Eurospares website and doesn't seem to be available seperately, only with the whole wishbone.

The bearing is available, @Zep is your man, he knows the details, a search might bring up something.

No, for that they want you to buy a complete wishbone. It is easy to fit once you have the tie rod off the car. That, sometimes, is the tricky bit.

I think Hill Engineering used to provide a bearing replacement kit as well. Worth a call to them as well.

anyone know the part number for the rubber dust cap that goes on top of the bearing? I heard about a BMW motorcycle one but unsure if its for this or the wishbone ball joints.

I replaced just the SKF spherical bearings a while back, on my MCV. Followed Zep's comprehensive instructions, and the job went without a hitch. Soaked all the threads in WD40 before un-doing them.
Using my old 'parallel string' method, I even did my own wheel align. Cost bugger-all. Thanks again Zep...:clapps:

Second the old parallel string method I was taught that many years ago by an old bugger and now I'm that old bugger :)

Always happy to help and forever grateful for the knowledge that was passed on to me from my father when he had his garages that gave me the passion that has taken me to many places around the World along with many good people I've worked with and also learned many skills from.
I truly love Automotive mechanical engineering and it's been good to me :)
