Except for a cambelt every 70k the Alfa engine is bulletproof, but unfortunately the car's front drive...

Best looking engine out of the two.....Alfa V6 wins hands down for me with those stunning shiny pipes.........They don't make em like that any more....

I've had both, though my GTV was a 3.0. Great car, superb engine. If I could have both I would.

Had both, 3200 and 3.2v6

3200 has immense power and torque but for me, the Arese always will hold a special place for me.

Out of those two, I prefer the V8. I've had 4 Alfa V6s over the years. I still think the best is the 12v 3l job. Apart from anything else, it's pointing the right way in the engine bay ;)

a prefer the alfa, i just like engines that feel like they produce more power the higher you go up the rev range, sound wise is pretty even. I even liked the alfa twin spark which sounds good high up the rev range. The alfa v6 looks better , but is also a bugger to change the oil filter

Still looking for a 3.2 GTV, I know the GT is the better chassis and brakes, but I have one, I would look like a proper spod if I had 2.

Nearly bought an ultra rare 3.2 Alfa Spider last year that was up for only £6k at a dealer. As ever I went a grand below over by email and he sold it that day whilst I was buggering about....a lesson there me thinks!

...off over to Autotrader now to had a shufty!

I have both. The 24v V6 is in my Hawk. That car's no more than 900kgs in weight and so the Alfa engine sat right behind my head is glorious in both sound and power delivery. And yet, for me there's nothing like the sound and power delivery of a Maserati V8
