Just noting the Maseratis for sale via Supercarhub......they have quotes for servicing beside them.......

3200 from £250 plus
4200 from £333 plus

Both in the London/ S East area......am assuming these are for an annual service.

£395 was the annual last year which I thought was good, now that is very reasonable indeed well done SCH.

Yes the cars for sale also register the best service quote in the country for that model published on site at that time, demonstrating these cars aren't so expensive to run as we natuarally think. The prices are not necessarily from the advertising dealer, we trawl the site for the best published price daily as we felt an owner would reside from anywhere in the UK and to publish the best price we have collated would be of more help.

It's worth registering if you are not already, as we keep you posted on latest offers and our partners notify us of campaigns and offers, which due to work load i can't always give you the nod on... we are seeing some fantastic prices for all our marques - and don't forget your details are never revealed for a quote, simply your service requirements so you can make an informed choice. But don't forget to use the 'Book Now' the more we press it, the more volume and the more we can offer...

Happy motoring ...

That is very cheap....and makes a 3200/4200 more of a viable purchase for more I would say...

...indeed Andy....am sure the two MDs offering to price match aint big fans of the great offers at the moment.......effectively a 50% off their main dealer prices...not bad!

The only prob as we know are parts being 3/4/5 times other standard cars.

We don't want it to become too cheap to run these cars as they might well become the chav cars of the future. We have to keep some air of exclusiveness!

Would be interesting to know whether reduced prices are achieved through lowered hourly labour rates, or by reducing the work done (less time spent, parts checked rather than replaced etc). Very rarely hear of garages quoting savings to labour rates though!

That said, when you look at what gets done in an annual service, it really shouldn't cost very much!

I would imagine.....if you asked for a standard Maserati annual service....would need to be done by the book, otherwise what would be the point for any of us using them!

But as ever...ask the question at time of booking her in.

When I used to have TVRs, some of the items listed in the service schedule were things like 'remove and refit all road wheels' and 'remove and refit exhaust'. A lot of indies didn't do things like this, and were able to do the 'important' stuff whilst lowering their prices.

You hjave to ask yourself if they are just making money out of us when they don't need to.

...no doubt if you asked a MD......how they structure their prices plus make a profit....plus invest in their business and all the other add ons.....never mind initial set up costs of many millions.....you can see how they arrive at their prices...no doubt if successful and busy its a money spinner......

Versus indie.....no corporate overheads, fancy buildings, endless staff, etc........2/3 people at most.......committed, well versed in cars they been looking after personally for 5-10-15-20 years...like return business...reputations needing to be maintained.......spurs them on plus 20 plus indies all over UK.......

Was in Maranello last week to have my codes read..... (£140:sad:)
and I happened to ask the price of a 68k service - my next big one.

Anyway, I managed to keep a straight face as I was quoted £4990 inc VAT and parts...

But if you are a member of their Club Monza (free, just ask) you get 20% off labour and 10% off parts.
So that'll just be the 4 grand please sir.

As was said, perfectly reasonable maintenance costs..............and only £120 to fill the tank.....truly economy motoring.

:p

Ah, but the 68k is the big one on a 3200 - timing chains.
Its a 20 hour service

Emblem was about £2400 if I remember correctly

Full engine out and back in again is 20 hours labour, but indi' rates are about £50.00 per hour.
