Can you imagine Newton ever retiring?

He'd be retired for about 20 minutes before finding another job. Like solving the house shortage in the country. Should keep him busy for a bit.

No plans to retire, semi-retire like PhilW perhaps, spend more time on my projects and less on other people but with 5 kids, I imagine my later years being consumed with projects on their various estates.

as far as houses go if I built a new one it would be a one off for me out of frustration I couldn’t find a suitable one. I am planning on a move in the not so distant future as nothing ties me to Romford once the in-laws pass. I want detached and land with outbuildings a plenty or a big barn. Don’t mind a modern crinkly tin barn even.

I can imagine you in your own barn coming up with all sorts of inventions. Bit like Dr Emmett Brown!

Hang about! 3-2-1 was on a Saturday.

That means St Dusty of the Bin's day of work is Saturday - We're all wrong!

I cannot believe the amount of discussion about bin days when there are more important matters to consider, not the least of which is that this is 'The good morning thread' and people are posting postmeridian.

Is this a question of standards?
Has the brain amoeba reached these shores?
Is it another dastardly symptom of Covid-19?
Will a trip to Barnard Castle confirm a diagnosis?
Does the PM have an action plan to address the issue?
Just how worried should we be?

It scares the h3ll out of me to think that those so afflicted can still drive high performance cars!

Worried of this parish.........

It’s starting to get sectarian, they’ll be effigies burnt, preachers defrocked and a small breakaway group will set up shop on an island offshore where no rubbish will be collected.
It's happened. It's called North Wales! OK the rubbish does get collected - but only every 4 weeks!

Apologise for being a bit absent of late, the move to the new workshop has been a massive task. Opening on Monday with a full book and a rather nice 246 Dino in to look forward too.

A thank you to Zep whom has given up his last two weekends mucking in for the cause.

Morning Andy, morning all.

Beautiful morning down here, going to be a hot one. Seen in the news this travel to Europe thing is only getting worse, not good. Usually been abroad 5 or so times by now, I do miss blasting around Europe in the Strad.

Morning all and sad to say but the virus on the rise here and it will be mask wearing pretty well everywhere outside of your own home shortly.
Today I'm going to continue removing glue from a Oak floor that someone covered with vinyl probably 40 years ago.
Stay Safe all.

Morning all.

Mrs C was informed that she's back in the office as of Monday. All power to her, she's up and about to go for a run as she's determined not to lose all the progress she's made.

Have a great day, all

C

Morning all, lots reported already on here, seems everyone is busy. I’m off to Hackney today to do a major repair involving building a scaffold frame to lift it out of the ground. Later in going for a paddle on the Crouch in the kayak.

Have fun all...

Morning, all. Bloody crazy-as5 batflu mess.

Matt, blinding job with SportsItalia, absolutely brilliant, e bravo!

As for holidays, we keep thinking about where we'd like to go, but sadly even staying in the UK doesn't appeal because everywhere will be rammed. Hoping like h3ll that things ease off enough that the SM thrash to LM won't be impacted. (Obviously, there are also other good reasons for hoping that things ease off.)

Today, chasing around a lot.
