I'm quite excited about it. When changing from my GT-R to the GTS, the backward step in infotainment was my biggest niggle.
This should bring it right up to date, and I think will make a big difference come resale. (not that I'm selling any time soon)
Also, I love a bit of DIY so looking forward to getting my teeth into it!
When I bought my Vantage, the step-up in infotainment from the Maser was clear. Matt's just thrown me back into the dark ages. Aston will upgrade the Vantage system to the newer version with CarPlay, and will charge £4k for the privilege. £2.5k of that is kit. Matt's price for this approach is an absolute bloody bargain. I'd bite his arm off if I still had my GTS.
For £150 pro install in one day I would highly recommend it.
Saying that, now I have produced some proper instruction and worked out all the issues it should take the diy’er a weekend.
I’m going to do Zep’s over a weekend to prove that theory.
I look forward to the photos of Matt swearing at Zep's car while Zep sits back in a deckchair chugging a beer in a nonchalant. fashion
