What other cars

GS or GT
Roller or more likely a Bentley GT / Spur
Ferrari (no idea which one, but if I was 16, a Testarossa)
Jag XK-R
Bristol (hey it's a dream list)
Alfa SZ
Alfa GTV6 (transaxle, natch)

I had GTV6 for a few years and do hanker after owning another. I often find my web browser taking me to Alex Jupe's site.

As one of my friends put it recently "you should go and bl00dy well buy one, just to remind yourself why you got rid of the other one in the first place".

........... I never actually liked the 355 when I drove them. Strange I know.

I felt the same when I drove a friend's 308GTB, the car of my youthful dreams. It was awful: cramped, hot, obstructive, painful, noisy (not in a nice way), difficult to see out of in a very scary way at junctions, and the biggest let down of all was how slow it felt.

A bubble burst.

I'd quite like to drive but not own a Countach, a Miura and a 60s Mustang. I'm not that fussed about driving it but would love to experience a couple of laps at 95% of an F1 car too.

For me, its more a plan of attack:

Currently 3200
Next:

4200
GranSport OR Ferrari 348
F355
F360 (maybe)

I've not given it any thought after that. It all depends on, reliability and depreciation at the end of the day!

I go out quite often with 348s, 355s and 360s and I would not swap mine with any of them. The servicing can hit quite hard with the belt changes and I find the Ferrari noise quite nice but pretty one dimensional ie a flat how with no bass. With a straight through, mine has the full symphony and I would much rather listen to mine when used in anger.

Bristol Fighter
Porsche 917 (track day car)

but that's today at 2300hrs. Tomorrow that will all change.

Bristol Fighter...oh yes...in the dream garage, a bit like the Alfa SZ, you either love it or hate it. (I also like the SZ!)

I know what you mean, I do love the sound which can only really be described as being the love child of a TVR and a V8 Ferrari :D

Ian, Your symphony is well known to many, the cracks and pops frighten granny's, the roar cracks windows, it's like the 1812th Overture mate...!!!

Ferrari 360 CS.
Alfa 8C spider.
New M5.

Along with my spyder, they would be the only cars I would ever need.

Yeah, Alex did some of the work on my 116, with Chris Snowdon if memory serves. They can be had cheap enough now. Perhaps we should just get it out of our systems? Want to split one?

Well, if we're setting aside the 'reasonable money' notion, I'd like:

QP 4.7 S
Ferrari FF (family car :))
599 GTO in white (the car currently wearing 'DSL 5' would be perfect!)
Fiat 500 (for MrsWoody)
My current GS (+ a full factory resto!)
Full-fat Range Rover (new one, maybe)

And then some classics.....I'd have to ponder those, but some wouldnt be typical classics, more like stuff from the 70s.
