This watch business is pretty popular. almost as popular as say .....Maserati cars.
I predict the future of gentlemanly conduct, should 2 Maserati drivers chance to pass each other on the road, don't toot your horn, don"t flip your lights. just stick your wrist out the window and waggle your watch!!

I have a humble but beautiful Longines Evidenza Automatic crono in ss with coalbolt hands and a Croc srap, I love it's design. Did have an Omega Speedmaster in ss with silver face but it was stolen during a motobike track day some years ago.

My father now 80, has an original 1969-70 Omega Ploproff with a milanese ss strap. It is without doubt my favourite watch of all time. Glad I'm an only child!

I would want 5 naked leggy blonds to put in on for me every morning for that money

If I had 1.2million spare and 5 leggy blondes around me I reckon I'd find something else for them to do other than put my watch on for me......

I bought a Submariner - no date, the bubble is too vulgar ;o) - about 12 years ago and it has taken no end of abuse including having stone work and bricks bouncing off it during major home renovations, and it has mellowe nicely, the glass is immaculate which amazes me.

Thing is it has always, and I mean always, run slow, losing around 5 mins a fortnight. It has been serviced, sent back etc etc and "there's nothing wrong with it". A mate of mine has an identical one which gains 5 mins, so I guess we cancel each other out!

In a fit of pique (and to cheer myself up) when I was stuck in Barbados airport I fell in to one of the shops and came out with a Tag Carrera Twin Time (and a diamond necklace/ear-ring set for SWMBO).

It broke (a screw came loose preventing the movement from, er, moving), and was repaired in warranty, and then the other day it was pointed out to me that I actually never wear it, and just insure it to keep in a drawer which is "a bit ****** pointless"

See ebay for further details!!!!

Yeah, sad but true...it's an expensive habit...Masers & Watches! lol...this one will have to wait though, and by then I would probably end up with something more classic.

I bought myself a Rolex Submariner 50th Anniversary edition in 2003 when they were first released as a limited run. It wasn't intended to be an everyday watch, but since I bought it I haven't worn any of my others:

Ive got the same one, but ive changed the bezel on mine for a black one and is my current everyday watch.

Also have a Omega Semaster Cosmos 40 Triple Date , a vintage Monaco and a ceramic Rado

Thought i would bring this thread back up, Tag Heuer have announced this new limited edition part of the Monaco range. It is called the Monaco PCA and is limited to 55 examples, it replicates the Porsche 917K from 1969 which raced at Le Mans. I want this watch badly.
