Thanks Enzo, cant wait for that, you have a large collection i take it, what you make to this Tag, it was a limited edition and i would like to purchase it in the future, it is around the £2000 mark. It is called the Monaco Steve McQueen edition.

Yeah, collection is quite large, made up of a mixture of pocket watches and wrist ones...
Mostly manual wind but a few automatics (like the Autavia),
one or two quartz also in there, more by accident rather than design...
I do like the TAGs, but in all honesty, prefer the earlier models, although they have done a very nice job on the re-issues.
If you like a particular theme (like motor racing), then limited editions (such as the one you mention) are worth it in my opinion.
Regards,
Enzo.

IWC...now there's a nice watch maker...
I have the Portugese Rattrapante miles...3712-003, rose gold, brown leather strap...

Enzo, There's nothing wrong with Marco Pierre White, if you can put up with his sham theatrics, there's nothing wrong with Gordon Ramsay if you can put up with his gob, and there's nothing wrong with Jamie Oliver if you can put up with his laddishness. They're all great chefs that create truly great food, but sometimes, just sometimes, you hanker after Ferran Adria. I had to take the IWC off and hand it back, but one day I won't, just like one day I won't be on the waiting list for El Bulli, but will have a reservation. The truly great things in life are worth the extra mile.

Oh by the way I'm jealous as green eyed jealous thing. You lucky man.:smile:

Getting back on thread, my everyday watch is a black J12, my favourite watch is one I can't actually wear as it's in bits awaiting restoration - a red face, red strap Fortis Spaceman. I have a replica in green that I do wear. Not expensive but oozes character. If I hanker for a change I don the Hamilton white face Chrono.

Didn't catch it Andy but from Adam's description it sounds like it might have been a Jacob and Co? If it was, they're truly ghastly.

It wasn't nice Miles....My wife has Tag ladies F1 which has diamonds in it and it looks much nicer than the one he was looking at.

couldn't agree more, there is a difference between style and ostentatious.

where i live its all show, its all look at me esp people from my culture i hate it, i grew up wanting to be rich but quiet, i want to be that person in the corner that has more money than all of them in the room but no one knows me, so i like my descreet luxeries, i see these daddys boys with watches that cost 4 or 5k but its big with diamonds on it and they scratch their ear a lot i haet it i wear mine under the shirt or if i got t shirt on i dont over do it
