I've got one from a broken 166, got any pointers for fitting, as am going to do it this weekend?

I didn't do it myself but got Geoff at Shiltech to do.
He said it was straightforward though.

IIRC did someone not post a how to on here before?
Certainly I remember a thread on removing the steering wheel.

Extreme care with the airbag (you wouldn't want one of those going off in your hands), and mark the position of the steering wheel on the spline BEFORE you remove it fully.

I have Cruise on all my other cars and miss it on the Maser', real handy for average speed tax cameras and general relaxed cruising long distance. Anbody any idea if we can get one to fit the 3200??

Suggest a part number check on Eurospares.

If there is one and its the same as 4200/GS then its an Alfa 166 unit that slots straight in.

I am looking for the very same in my 3200 GT; I've looked on the eurospares site and it does appear to show any stalks at all. Did I read that there is a third stalk for cruise on these?

Cruise is fitted to my 4200 but not the 3200. The LH stalk on the 4200 has cruise controls on it, so maybe a replacement stalk? Then of course there are the connections to get it to work on the 3200, which I have no idea on..??

Just tried this mod on the GS with an Alfa stalk but can't get the indicators to automatically cancel when returning the steering wheel back to centre.

Anyone got any recommendations on how to resolve this?

Usually on the steering column you have addjustable tags which are there to cancel the stalk when it reaches a certain pont. Maybe the Alfa stalk fastener has to be adjusted to mate up with these tags? Take the cowl off and see if you can mate the tags up to the stalk.

Roger, please can you give the part number - presume you fitted it to a 4200? Does the cruise work and the only thing not working is the self-cancelling of indicator?
