Klive, try 183025. It's under mechanical; steering column (Page 43). Good luck! If you have any probs give Myles, Martin (Emblem) or me a call.

Thanks Benny, I was looking at that but was concerned due to the name and price. "Unhook Deviation Assembly" seems an odd name!
183025 is for the US at £91.17, whereas 185384 is for the rest and only £64.63. It's making it even more tempting. As I live local I could even save on the postage by driving over.
I've used cruise on many of my current, previous and hire cars and find it extremely useful through average cameras, low speed limits, motorway cruising, etc. and had made a clear decision to myself to not have it on the Maserati. But the price, even with the VAT at under £80 and I could pop into Grimaldi and see what luxeries he has in, hmmmm!

Klive, I think you will find that 185384 is standard (UK) and non US and Cdn markets and as such is what is already fitted to your car i.e non cruise. 183025 is the cruise version and was fitted as standard to US and Cdn vehicles.

Holy thread resurrection Batman!

Anyway, have decided to keep my car and get a few bits done.

One of the things is to do this Cruise Control fitment but Eurospares have no stock and already four requests on back order from the factory dating back a couple of months.
Anyone know of any alternative? Any Alfa kit (166???) compatible.

Otherwise have to wait or the very slim chance of one on a breaker.

Cheers

Thanks just to be clear. My car is an 06 Gransport that I imported to Oz from the UK so I will need 183025 if I want to add cruise?
Thanks

Dave, Have you tried a dealer search? If not then phone GP Nottingham. I did just that when looking for a coil pack and they came up trumps, and no more expensive than Eurospares.

I'd go with Miles' suggestion, the lad at GP Notts is very helpful.

I'd also give a couple of specialist a call, see if they have the parts? I spoke to McGrath's about getting it done a while back (they mentioned it) so maybe call them and ask if they have the parts to sell you?

Pretty sure David Askew would have some kicking about , its not an everyday want so i should think he'll have some used ones lying about

Gotta phone number? Web site appears to be down unless I still need lessons in webification from my kids.

Quite fancy this as a nice bit of hands dirty stuff over the hols.

It's straight forward enough to fit, just make sure you disconnect the yellow airbag power cable before you fully remove the steering wheel, or you could end up with a face full of airbag. I have to say, that, having used it across europe, I wouldn't be without mine now.

I like them on the motorway for those 50mpg limits, used it alot on the Audi, got mine done by Bill McGrath but you can't pause them like the Audi and BMWs. I know you can sort of pause by tapping the brake but always seem like a jult compared to just pausing. if you switch it off then no jult but you then can not recall your last speed setting

unless anyone has found away to do this
