I experienced the same hesitations in My car but quite harsh,like misfires.I cut some of the cable insulation off(as Benny suggested i'd do)and cleaned the contacts,problem solved!

I think i fixed it! Fiddled around under the hood and took these apart.Camshaft sensor wiring??Sorry but i can't recall what they are called,remember i'm Swedish:)Pulled the contacts apart and found oil inside!!Cleaned them thoroughly and put them back together...Result!! Plugged in an OBD 30 minutes ago,misfires registred but no codes.Thinking about buying a new coil and test it on each cylinder to see if it helps.Am i barking up the wrong tree or what do you think???
