Hi all,

After much poring over specs and reading roadtests I am now an owner of an '05 Gransport. Just driven it for the first time - wow is it ever fast. I've driven a few powerful cars on track before but nothing like this on the road - seriously licence-endangering!

I got a very good deal on this car, but it definitely needs some work. Was the subject of some discussion in the Forum Cars section.

It has been keyed on the OSR quarter panel, and also NSR bumper has had a bit of an incident and will probably need to come off to be sprayed.

Wheels are all in poor condition, so they will get done soon, and I think I'm going to get them done in Grigio Mercury.

Brakes also need some attention - definitely not up to the power.

I knew all this going in so no problem, I have budgeted to bring it up so scratch.

I am 6'7" so this was just about the only sportscar I could get me and the kids in, look forward to trying that soon!

Well done & welcome along, I'm glad to see you went in with your eyes wide open too - I like the colour also, very nice & enjoy the ride but keep your eyes open for seed cameras!

Welcome to the forum and a big congatulations! Very beautiful in that colour. Also, if you're 6'7" then my son will not have to worry about being too tall when he gets behind the wheel! :)

Well done and welcome.
It's an exciting time with your new purchase, getting to know the ins and outs of it, learning the limits of adhesion, wondering if that sound you just heard is normal, if that warning light will go away, all good fun.
We are certainly here on the forum to assist.

Congratulations to you both on your new purchases. Phil if yours is the one i think it is did it have a water mark or stain on the back drivers side seat base on the britex fabric or was it just a trick of the light when the pictures were taken.

Really nice looking car, really nice colour. Well done! :)

I'd spend the money on decent tyres if it doesn't have them already. Noone is going to see the key mark down the side of the car if you are going fast enough anyway. ;)

Yeah it has a small stain - but that is way down the list! Service and brakes first. Going to have the kids in the back so pre-stained might be a good thing :D

As for the exhaust, sounds pretty good as is. It is more refined than I was expecting so can see why people do it. Maybe down the road but want it mechanically sorted first.

That Becker head unit has got to go - awful. It has auditorium sound, and the quality and power are pretty good but the usability of that thing (and no Bluetooth) is really poor.

Welcome to the forum and good to see you have taken to the car warts and all.

You have just missed the forum buy on brake discs but I am sure there qill be another one soon.

Re the stain...try baby wipes they can lift a number of spills with a little effort.

Most of all enjoy the car.

Well done, bought mine privately last year for about the same money.

These are awesome machines, no complaints here, enjoy!
