It does sound very strange. I always had very good service from them. Maybe their transporters are only used for collecting cars for a service. If a car has broken down then normally a recovery company would transport the car, not the dealer.

Help needed on potential Granturismo purchase

I used mine as a daily driver and it was excellent. Good fun on the A & B roads and superb at wafting down the motorway. With the exception of parking due to the size and mine having the MC Shift gearbox it was also the best car for around town - just lower the window and listen to it while...

    I'm afraid I'm going.

I have been looking at those!

    I'm afraid I'm going.

I agree with pretty much all that has been said. I sold my GTS last September and have been on a constant lookout for the next car but just can't find anything to replace it with. The AMG GT has got the closest but I just can't justify £110K on "just a Merc". I've tried some very nice cars but...

Good luck with fitting because I had trouble on my GTS. The passenger side is a standard fitting but the drivers side, although it looks the same is not. I've gone through my old emails and found this: I tried fitting the Bosch SP26S to the GranTurismo yesterday and unfortunately the...

Amazing how many people on here have pickups!

    pick-up

As others have mentioned, take a look at the Ford Ranger. We have a 2012 2.2 XLT manual Double Cab and it's excellent. More than enough power to pull a horse trailer with 2 large horses so I don't see the need for the larger 3.2. We get an average of about 27mpg. If you do longish motorway...

    Cracked front grill

Ask Dicky Grace where he gets resprays done. Mine needed the front bumper resprayed before he sold it for me and I'm sure it was less than that.

    Cracked front grill

I'm afraid it also looks like the paint has cracked - the photo shows a crazed effect from the number plate mount towards the broken piece. Have you ever touched the number plate against a kerb? I suspect it was caused by the bumper being pushed in. The front bumper bends quite a lot without...

Northern Meetup - Mitton Hall 6th September

Mitton Hall is in the north? It's 200 miles south of me, hate to think how far south it is for Highlander!

    Security

Not sure about Maserati's but on some cars if you lock the doors via the key rather than the remote the alarm isn't enabled. Following these instructions could leave the car more vulnerable (not that anyone takes any notice of alarms any more)

    Opinions please on MC styling

IMO Maserati's are not cars to be customised other than standard build options and that includes the front. If was looking to buy and found a pre-facelift car with the new front I'd be wondering why it needed a new front end - and what else got damaged in the crash that the owner is not...

    Insurance

It's now time for me to renew my insurance so have got a few quotes ranging from £300 with Privilege and Churchill to £700 with A-Plan. The big selling point with A-Plan (apart from the fact that they answer the phone within a few seconds) is that they will only use Maserati dealers for...

Secret compartment - excited, then letdown

Maybe it was designed in the days of the Lira and a lot of coins were required to buy anything.... Totally agree with it getting in the way. I wondered if it was there to keep bottles upright. If it was a cheaper car I would have cut most of that plastic off!

    Old vs New

Excellent photo. Reminds me of when I saw a Mini Countryman parked next to a Volvo estate....and the Mini was bigger!
