There must be a back story as to why he was so grumpy. 8.30am was not too early but he clearly has other worries at the time your call came in.
Give him the benefit of the doubt and move on.

might of had a lot of cold/scam calls and you bore the brunt of his frustration perhaps and/or you may have interrupted his morning exercise with the mrs ;)

My brother gets 'as' and 'has' wrong every fücking time - now that winds me up, I don't know why he cant just pick the opposite of what he thinks is correct since he's wrong 100% of the time.

I'm so glad this thread is pivoting from bad phone manners to the important issue of bad grammar!

Well in my defence when I was initially trying to contact him I tried several times at different times of the day with no answer. I finally got through around 5pm but he was driving, so as I said I wanted to get hold of him before the weekend. Thought I would try first thing.
Like Dickie said I thought 'wow' caught him at a bad time, and as I sat pondering whether to not bother with him again or ring later when he may have calmed he texted me and I quote:-

8-25am is not acceptable, I have other priorities and don't wish to talk about parts or your car.

This after putting the phone down on me. So I just had to reply:-

I don't know what time zone you live in but in the real world 8-25am is not early.
I have to say I am surprised at your impolite attitude and lack of manners, it shows lack of character.
If you had bothered to call me as you promised I would not need to chase.
I now do not now wish to do business with such an impolite person.

This guy has been advertising rare parts for well over ten years I have noticed him on the Alfabb forum in America and I know he has had dealings as far as Australia so would have thought he could get calls at anytime.
He did re-text me back again saying 'he only did it as a hobby and that he had a young family (well we have all had to deal with that) and he would not now sell me parts. Like he will ever get the chance.
Guess I put this up on here because I did question whether I had acted unreasonably, and to vent my spline.
Could we now have some thread drift please as I wish to forget the episode.

Sounds like a right c**t don’t bother with him.

I remember during Euro 96 getting a call about a dream job for me then in New York but I told the lass 'can you call me back in 45 mins, second half is starting and it's England - The Netherlands'.

She never called back.........

More thread drift to lighten GTVGeOFF’s mood…I’ve been hammering the “like” button and STILL cannot easily get the laughing/astonished/ooh lover lover :shy1:(thank you Shaggy) etc. I always end up accidentally highlighting the whole damned lot in blue and the have the iphone “cut/paste/highlight” tabs appearing directly over the emoji expressions. I know some helpful souls have told me what to do, but my dainty fingers (!) still don’t find it easy. Harumph! I can’t be the only numpty on here, can I?

Are you doing that on Tapatalk or on a browser on your phone?
