Goes like stink too.

If you look at the car from the wingmirrors back what does it remind you of, it's near identical even the mini surfboards!

Bonnet scoops to please the thin light brigade!

Very much improved on the last attempt.

Sort of reminds me of all those rich American dames - well into retirement - rich husband long dead - spent a year (and a small fortune) in plastic surgery to look like their daughter - then off down to the local club to try and pull.

What a monstrous concoction!...

I actually don't mind the Jaaag's Newton, neither for or against really, though I do appreciate their build quality is very high, but that one has no original style whatsoever. Pretty much every styling cue is nicked and just stuck on with bostick.

Yes I get your point Em; sort of designed by questionaire rather like the Mitsubitshi Evo's - just keep pilling it on!

I do like the convertibles as the sound of that engine is lovely but wouldnt buy one as the image is very boring....aston is better...a vantage can now be had for 34k.....

An XKR would muller an early Vantage though Dem, and whilst not being slow, they aren't that quick, just have a lot of presence. Jag do have an 'old' image but they're getting shot of it. I have had 2 and I'm 36, still have my Jaguar leaping cat keyring on my housekeys as well, the only one... Jag's have an addicition almost like a Maserati, must be the heritage.

I bet that Jag is a match for the DB9 Virage and at half the cost. Have read reviews from DBS owners that put the XKR up there in that league, and this is entirely new animal. Red definitely the wrong colour to show the car, a nice racing green/Ecurie Ecosse blue or even a boring grey metallic would have done the job.

The guy next door works for Swindon Jag and brings various ones home. He had a supercharged XJ parked next to his own DB9 on the drive some time back and to be honest you could hardly tell the difference.

I feel i must wade in and defend the Jags honour !
I have had two XK's (Xk8 and XKR both steel bodies examples). Marcos is absolutely spot on, once experienced Jags are a difficult habit to break. Today they are very well built, superb ride handling / balance and much more interesting than the usual German offerings.
The current 500bhp XKR's could pull away from most of our cars on 95% of British (ie bumpy) roads.

However for me, nothing comes close to that warm and fussy feeling when we fire up our way more exclusive Italian beauties !!

The Jag is a strange one for me, as I come from a generation where Jags were thought of as heavy wobble MD type cars. I appreciate where they are going especially with the XF, but cant just find any heart in them, although I respect they are very decent cars.

I agree that the rear spoiler is shocking .... Very bad design ... but afraid I will buck the trend on this one .. I like it .... By all accounts it is very very fast as well...
