I must admit I have never had any trouble with Brembo, either on my XJR, or the Maser. I have had trouble with discs and pads, which can affect braking to a considerable degree.

Nikos, sounds like you have binding pads.

Make sure the pads drop into the caliper and the guides are clean and us a small amount of copper grease.

File the sides of the pads to make them fit if required.

Matt, it only happens to the rear right brake. Test drove her today, and same story.

Just dropping a line to Jeff.

Sounds like you might have a sticking caliper Nikos, if the pads are free in the slides, then one of the caliper pistons may be the problem. Check that the caliper slides in and out freely, if it does, then check each piston.

I'm returning back to this thread to give a bit of feedback regarding the stopping power after the mods..
550 discs, FD stainless steel brake lines, FD high performance pads. I have paid approx 650 euros inc fitting to make all this happen. I feel the total result is good but expensive. Have not pushed her yet (will do it this weekend), but i think someone should make effords to make a complete brake kit, just like the FD's, but this is far expensive.
Personally, i'm waiting to sell the Saab, which has AP's 6 piston brakes, and put them on the Massa.Or wait for Loz to sell his APs.
In the meantime, if anyone sells his FD carbon pads, i'd be happy to try them as well.

Yeah Nikos.......braking with the 550 discs and GG pads is very self assured compared to OEM stuff......though they generate a lot more dust according to Autoshield.

Nikos,
550 discs should be spot on, pads are a bit of a trial. I know the Pagid pads are really good, but they too are very expensive. You have to let the brakes bed in a bit before making a final decision, new pads sometimes feel reasonable at first, then come really good as they bed in and start to work properly.

Ferodo seem reasonable, but cost is not my aim. Prefer to pay some more, but have a 100% powerful and non-average braking.

As Rob said, i need to give a bit more time. Hope he said this in an alco-free status :)

So, what is the communis opinio on what the best brake pads are for the 3200/4200 in terms of performance (but withouth squeeling)? And what brake pads were standard on the Assetto Corsa, Yellow Pagid or Red Pagid?
