Hi, thanks, I did see your link before but thought I’d try & fix but using a previously broken bit, that may not be sound & along with old micro switch might not warrant the investment of a £100 little cog from USA so I think I will go down the same route as you.

It is any 916 model GTV / Spider as I understand it they are all the same.

Hi, that one pictured has the stubby crown adjuster which may need moving, the one I used was the aftermarket one like this.

I ordered from alphashop & got a call 10 mins later to tell me ‘you can have it but its really quite poor quality’
Well, its only £200 - less than a third of the Mazzer so i said go ahead.

It may well be an aftermarket one then, and the Web is showing the original part for reference. See what turns up.

In & fitted! That Alpha part does fit (despite thinking at one point it was wrong) and as long as it lasts it’s a very big saving over the mazer one. The drop on opening is a bit deeper than the previous but that doesn’t really make a difference.
A bit of a daunting fix having not done before - great info found on here & thanks Lozzer - I’ll be fine to sort the passenger window if that ever goes!
