Ffs. Hit and run Chris?
Ouch!
G3 followed by 3M Finess or equivellent, good luck.
You could try auto glym scratch remover, use it on 1 finger in a cloth along the scratches, not across.
Good luck, hope it comes out before paint is required

To be fair, it's such a minor impact I wouldn't be surprised if the other driver didn't even notice.

Perhaps if they were playing candy crush on their phone
Nah, don’t bother to try and polish that one out, move straight to the colour sand process.
If you cock it up it has to be repainted anyway.
Warm soapy water, 1200 grit wet and dry followed by 2000 then 3000 then hit it with the cutting compound.
A body shop or mobile smart repairer wound probably be best to throw £50 at.
Yes Chris, as with the G3 on a pad and clean up thoroughly between grades of cut. You can go between the G3 & Finesse quite happily it will polish up the G3 perfectly.
If you have claybar, you could clay the area first it will remove any contamination and bits sticking up making the G3 work more efficiently.
That sucks - I hate to see car park rash, my wife’s car is covered in it.
Like you, I use my car and do park it Tesco car parks and such like but since having a few knocks I now have a front and rear movement and g sensor activated dash cam. At least I will see any ****** that damages my car and drives off.
Looks to me like anything other than a repaint will be a compromise.
I meant to just sand the lacquer...it’s quite thick and you will be amazed what you can get away with.
