I'd second that.Personally if you have not used clay before I would recommend a clay mitt - works really well and much easier to use and almost zero chance of creating problems for yourself.
That process is something else!Deep gloss shine comes from polish, not wax. Many polishes have fillers that disguise minor swirls and scratches so long as they are only in the lacquer (they should pass the finger nail test).
Alfieri and silver colours dont come up with deep gloss like dark colours such as red, yellow, dark blue, maroon and black. So that gives you a rule of dimishing returns - polishing more, using more wax fail to raise gloss levels.
Start with citrus wash. Wash it off. Then use a good tar and bug remover applied with a cloth. Wash it off. Now remove bonded in contaminants with clay. Wash down. Then car shampoo. Rinse. Dry with towel. Polish with Meguiars Stage 2 polish or Poorboys Blackhole showroom glaze. Then Dodo Juice purple haze carnauba wax (dont worry, it won't affect the silver colour even though it is suggested for dark colours). Apply s second coat of Purple Haze. Next time you wash, dry with a towel and finish with Sonax Extreme Shine detailing spray. Top up with wax every third wash and polish every other wax followed by wax.
Visit detailing world for good advice.
Looks lovely in that colour. From the Conaero archive Grigio Alfieri with Harleys on top, loved that car:

I am about to have my splitter replaced with a GS one that I recently purchased from jasst. It is in primer and will be sprayed GA for obvious reasons!! If you make a list below, I can ask the company if they can make up some extra into some screwable air tight tubs and send them out......
Yes please Stu, looking forward to seeing it fitted and the transformation. That would be awesome, I literally only need about 10-15ml.
