I had a V70 automatic as a hire car recently. 2 drives of 2.5 hrs and I thought, yep a nice car for poodling up and down the motorways, quite, got everything a driver could want. The big disappointment was the seat. After 1 hr it was uncomfortable, no, painful. I've said a similar thing about th Victory, it must be a part of my anatomy is a funny shape. Anyway that's another knocked off the list for next year.

no it is not made in France either, it is an old engine from another japanese car.

I was looking at 1.4 and 1.6 Civic's but it is hard to find one in nice condition and without a very high mileage.

Our S60 is just so comfy...Its like sitting in your fav arm chair....A truly great family car even if it doesn't set the world alight...

Sorry been a bit busy last couple of days...

The Aygo is not the smallest motor Toyota do that is the I-Q which also has a 1.0l engine but is made by them. I believe this is also the base of the Mini Aston Martin? The Aygo is a joint colaberation of Toyota, Peugeot and Citroen and is actually made in Chechoslovakia (whatever that country is now refered to as) but is actually incredibly well put together and despite being the same car the Citroen is the cheapest and Toyota the most expensive and this continues in resale as well!

THey are designed to be very cheap to repair with a front wing costing (allegedly) just £15, I know the bumpers can be replaced and sprayed to match for just a couple of hundred quid as I've had this done twice so far on the old one and the present... easier than insurance claims!

We did however have a bit of a worry last year in the snow when I drove up to Cambridge with gear for my lad at uni; opened the back glass tailgate to unload and when we closed it there was enough residual heat in the cabin to shatter the glass through thermal shock!!! a windy drive home with a duck tape window!
