Indeed - it's about an hour but it's always really busy around 9. We don't need to be there that early, especially if it becomes a typical SM trip the night before.

6. MrPea (Saturday night only - might book the hotel separately as I have money off I can use)... SPX - you know you want to add yourself!
7. npaskin +1 - will probably be lunch + Vulcan only, not staying at hotel as we will be staying a short drive away for other (family) reasons.

No worries - I've not paid for anything and can cancel the hotel until the day before.

Hope Diane is OK and she recovers well and quickly. Does that rule out Newby as well?

Not sure yet Dave, could maybe go on my own or pick up a hitch hiker. See how she is but may have to stay with Di, there is a few things going on at the moment so planning future events is a moving target!!

OK - everything sorted for the weekend.

The Tour starts at 12pm so I suggest we need to be there around 11.30ish. The postcode is DN9 3GF and a map of the airport is available here http://www.vulcantothesky.org/uploads/documents/HangarMap2016.pdf. The cost is £12 per head payable when we get there.

NB they've just finished a new road from J3 of the M18 which may not be on older sat navs but it's a quick way in.

If people want to meet up and convoy in then I suggest those coming from the north meet at Ferrybridge services at the junction of the A1 and M62 to leave at 11am. Those coming from the south can meet at Tibshelf services which is about 45 mins away and need to leave at 10.45am. Please post on here if you are going to meet so there's an idea of numbers.

The pub is about 10 mins from the airport and lunch is booked at 2.30. I've sent orders to them and will print off a few copies to bring since experience tells me that no-one will be able to remember. Everything needs to be paid for on the day.

We can then take the scenic route to the hotel (http://www.qhotels.co.uk/our-locations/forest-pines-hotel-golf-resort/). They have reserved parking outside for us and an area in the bar from 8pm. I've reserved rooms with my credit card so please remember to pay!!

Sunday is home for some and Cars in the Park for others. It takes about 1hour and 15 without traffic (though it will be busy near Newby) although we could take a detour and go across the Humber Bridge if people fancy that. We can meet others at Wetherby services and convoy up. We probably need to leave the hotel at 8am.

I will PM everyone my mobile number in case there are any problems.

Look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.
