I would also like to thank David for organising this. The tour was excellent, and it was really nice to meet so many new faces.

Here's a short video of everyone leaving the venue:-

Hope to see you all again soon, and hopefully next time I'll be able to stay longer!

Cheers,
T

For those that might be interested, I did 369.8 Miles over the weekend, and we used 37.25 gallons, which equated to 9.92miles to the gallon or £0.5037 per mile and most of that was motorway miles as well!

Didn't pin the mileage but something like 560 miles two fills, Bar Hill on the way up and Grantham on the way home. Not fussed on the MPG but recall averaging 18mpg on the Modena trip.

Blimey - and I thought our cars were bad on fuel. Great to meet you all and to see (and hear) the car.

Thanks David, it was indeed pleasure to meet some of the northern half of the forum.

FYI The Chevy is going in today to check out that small leak and see whether we can put another fan on the radiator to keep her cool.

I was showing the partially completed induction & K&N setup.

Don't forget to let me know the pipe diameter and K&N part number.
Can't see the point in buying the free flowing filter for the standard air box, just bin the air box and fit a K&N like you have done.
Air boxes are usually in the engine bay and then cool air is piped to them.

I still get the email bulletins from the Vulcan and received one last night essentially begging for money. I know that those that went on the tour enjoyed it and a few on here have an soft spot for this plane, so thought I would pass it on. I attach the press release that has been sent out but it doesn't look good if they want to continue to run the type of tours we enjoyed.

I get these as well. I know that they are looking to get a Canberra flying again but can't really get behind that. The Vulcan is special to me though, it would be a shame if they couldn't continue the tours.
