Expensive! I remember mine costing about 80p to fill up back in the late 70s. I do love the smell of a two stroke on Castrol R even now.
On the SK theme; I note that many of the ridiculous traffic restrictions sneaked in during the lockdowns are already removed as completely unworkable in the reality of city traffic. There are however many that still remain making driving in London a complete mare. an example is the Rotherhythe tunnel having a 2t GVW limit for commercial vehicles, the 6' width and height limits I get but the weight limit is punitive and forces all the little vans to go in as far as Tower Bridge or endure the mare of Greenwich/Blackheath. Yet you can take the camper version of my T6 through no problem!

Drove through the centre of London last week, nearly killed a few cyclists jumping red lights....must try harder next time.I like the latest London idea (not). Pedestrian crossings that have a read traffic light until it decides to stop the walkers to let the cars cross... wonder how many numpty cyclists will stop at those?
There is a bloke on YouTube - cycling Mikey, he usually hangs around monitoring the roads round Regents Park. He is proud to make it his mission to video motorists and report them on the 'grass line' to the Police to get them fined. He actually quotes how much he has generated in fines for drivers, and I believe he may get a kick back himself. The usual one is to cycle up adjacent to a motorist who is stuck in traffic and picks up their mobile. He then video's them , and then tells them how he is going to report them and that they will get 3 points etc etc. He actually enjoys it, and is very proud to tell the driver what's going to happen to them. Interestingly in his videos you see cyclists committing infringements and he doesn't worry about them!Drove through the centre of London last week, nearly killed a few cyclists jumping red lights....must try harder next time.

Regents park, called Cycling Mikey...duly noted. If the uploads to YouTube stop, you'll know why...There is a bloke on YouTube - cycling Mikey, he usually hangs around monitoring the roads round Regents Park. Worth a search on YouTube to look at some of his efforts. The word scum springs to mind!!
So riding on the path behind a pedestrian stood at a bus stop is acceptable then! Hypocrisy at its finest. Bloke should get a job!Regents park, called Cycling Mikey...duly noted. If the uploads to YouTube stop, you'll know why...
