Was there a power cut?
It was, UK wide it said!!I think there might have been. Surprised it hasn’t been on the news!
But they will know what to do nowBut definitely not hackers apparently....
I think they knew anyway.... we’d never be told, what with Brexit looming AND hackers... run for the hills..But they will know what to do now
I've got a mate who works in the power industry , he said he read something last week about proposals to top up the national grid during peak periods with energy stored in thousands of battery packs connected to the grid
Guess where those battery packs are
When I was in the nuclear industry at Berkeley (Gloucestershire, not USA) I met one chap who was at Aldermaston and assured me they had a perpetual motion machine there.
I think you missed my point, these grid support arrays are in cars connected to the grid charging up , they're proposing to take power out at peak times , I suppose it cant be much because you'd be pretty ****** off if you'd had your car on charge overnight and it was on 30% so somebody can boil their kettle at 7:30amIt isn’t a proposal, there are already quite a lot of grid support arrays dotted about the place with more proposals for aggregating existing UPS systems etc.
When I was at Bournemouth, we were approached by a company to sell our electricity to the grid when there's a power cut. The salesman gave a 30mins power point presentation to the airport management saying how much the airport would make over cost of diesel to much nodding. I piped up that in the event of a power cut we'd be powering our airport not the grid.I think you missed my point, these grid support arrays are in cars connected to the grid charging up , they're proposing to take power out at peak times , I suppose it cant be much because you'd be pretty ** off if you'd had your car on charge overnight and it was on 30% so somebody can boil their kettle at 7:30am
Didn’t VW have a solar powered generator for the IDR at Goodwood?I asked Mrs MLC about the batteries for Formula E... Charged by a diesel generator
