The E36 M3 nver done it for me, maybe estoril blue coupe in the day but now noooooo
As for the saloon, no never liked it.....

E36 is a great looking shape, prefer it to the E46 in a way, probably because i was ferried around in E36 BM's when i was a nipper.

E46 moved the M3 onto a different level for handling and performance...The E36 was a great car but didn't move people as it came after the brilliant E30...I had a E30 M3 and my local dealer tried to get me in an E36 but when I drove it the car never did it for me...It felt quicker than the E30, as it should but something was missing....The E46 put that something back in....My CSL was as good as an E30 and evern though the E30 is my fave M3 the CSL would be my choice again......You have to drive one and hear the noise....it is the best sounding car I've owned and that includes the 3200 which sounded amazing..

E36 looks classic to me, 90's legend. Love the engine you got in the "evo" model, thought the noise it make was immense.

Dem, i went into a BMW dealer today, had an E90 M3 Coupe, Saloon and Convertible, i did not like the coupe but liked the saloon but i thought the Convertible was lovely, was Interlagos Blue with grey leather, looked great.

I thought the Convertible really did look the part, have to say, the E90 Convertible is probably the best looking 3 series convertible., just not fussed on the Coupe.

I'm the other way around...I thoink the E90 convertable is the least successful of the 3.....When it came out I felt the boot was too long where as the E46 was perfect proportions...Its the metal folding roof...Its spoilt the overall shape as it needs to fit under the boot...

For what it's worth; the saloon - E90, the Touring - E91, the Coupe - E92 and the cab - E93. I prefer the E90 in all guises especially the M3 and I too don't care much for the looks of the cab.

E30 has still got to be the prettiest convertible...

Especially when the engine has been changed to something a little more modern. What's that lurking in the engine bay? Almost finished...!

Well done MAF looks like you have a bit of wiring to do yet!!!!!!

Shame you can't bring it to The Malt Shovel in a couple of weeks.

Believe it or not, there's only about 2 days work left to do before it's finished and I reckon half a day of that is refitting all the front suspension I have renewed. My issue is time - fitting in working full time in a demanding job, plus family commitments etc. means I get half a day on her a week if I'm lucky. I'm hosting a big party at home this weekend, so once that's over I can crack on. Once I've completed wiring her up everything should look pretty factory and should confuse a few people when I pop the bonnet and they see a nice big 24v lump sitting there!
