Top Gear - Poor QPV

Me too - I switched off the telly when I realised it was just going to be yet another episode of senseless destruction. Don’t know why I watch it when I know from past experience that it will just make me angry!
What sort of example does this set for our kids? How is this a programme for car enthusiasts (rather than yobs)?
Smashing up a Maz is the last straw - I’ll never, ever watch it again!

What happened to the QP?
Call me old fashioned (and perhaps slightly narrow minded), but I’ve never actually seen (or had the inclination to watch) an episode of Too Gear without Jezza et al presenting... based on the above I don’t think I’ll start either.

Its sad to see a QP getting crashed. But my observation is that when Top gear does that, typically signals the bottom of the market and thereafter enjoy better appreciation.
I remember the yellow 308GT4 that Hammond bought for less than 20k or the biturbo that Clarkson bought for peanuts and crashed.

Shame to see the QP trashed although to be fair it was already pretty damaged before they took it on. The Lambo on the otherhand I know they insure cars but given the past history and lack of mechanical sympathy why would anyone lend them their pride and joy., even if it was a traders car is the potential risk worth the benefit I suspect not.

The suspension was gone at the front after the silly musical car park game, you could see it. And although they claimed not to have had the budget to fix it, they did and it's plain to see in the stripped out version of the car. It also had some Michelin PS fitted magically.
I thought the whole episode was average at best. I'm over it being about cars and more about being lads however if you have an F40 in a show, please do show some more of it! As for the Lambo, i think he was driving a powerful car, with no driver aids, on damp country roads. Talent ran out but it's easy to do and I'm sure he gave himself a right fright. It wasn't as if they deliberately trashed someone's supercar, it was a mistake and actually I think Paddy is lucky there wasn't a stone wall, or something else much less accommodating than a field when he lost control.
They are well insured, they don't want bad press, so I expect that the owner has been looked after and either is having a proper repair or has received suitable value as write off.

don't know why i keep watching it as it is a load of sh1te really, just cant help myself, that lovely lambo survived all those years and then that numpty crashes it
