Okay guys my electrician has wired my 3 phase lift so that the motor is running the wrong way.
From the picture any advice as to which wires to swap ?

What's the worst that can happen trip the fuse box ?

Assuming you’ve found the right wires, nothing.

3 phase has 3 alternating currents that are offset by 120 degrees. All other things are the same. By swapping the two. All your changing is the phasing. It’s not increasing, decreasing or reversing anything.

Last time I asked about 3 phase (and yes, I know I have something of a reputation) the suggestion of those wise in the ways of electrickery was DON"T on the grounds that getting it wrong doesn't just annoy you....

What sort of motor is it? I was expecting a 3-phase motor and that's only 3 wires? can you remove the connection terminal block on the motor and lets see that? it looks like black brown and grey are the 3 phases, why there are two browns not sure, seeing how its connected at the motor would help. if its really the black grey and brown are 3 phases, you swap any two of these and this will reverse the direction. I would clarify what the fourth wire is before messing with it.

The brown on the left doesn't go to the motor only the ones to the right of it.

This, or I would look at doing it either at the motor or at the mains supply to the main circuit breaker. The rest of the panel won’t care about the phase rotation and the motor will go the other way.

Ok sorry I misread that, so you have the black grey and brown to the motor and an earth? So don't touch the earth, and swap any two of the other other three and that will reverse the direction.

I would swap over any 2 of the wires going to the contactor relay as circled. Isolate power first of course.

I'm confused now as I have two suggestions and this is not my field but I really need to use this ramp.

Your 3 phases should be if it’s wired correctly and UK latest standard be: L1 = Brown, L2 = Black, L3 = Grey. You should have in addition a blue (Neutral) and your earth…. So to reverse the 3 phase motor is swapping over 2 of the phases which should feed into the motor directly. So you could try swapping over Brown & Black, or Black & Grey and so on… really depends on the motor windings too. Make sure it’s completely isolated off before messing….
