The good morning thread

A very pleasant day yesterday working with Alex stripping large parts of the new BMW R65 to get how he wants it, new flat(ish) bars, switches, controls and throttle among the first parts. The barrel was missing from the end of the clutch cable n!pple so I made a new one, it is the smallest component I have made on the lathe and for some years but works perfectly. Today I have to unload and reorganise the Volvo after several weeks of intense work out of it it is just loaded to window level in a chaotic mess. Bought a whole load of plastic stacker boxes in a hope I can be more organised. Also the 156 is up today so hopefully someone will see the potential in it.

Maybe cut the lawn, put up some pictures for Christine and even fit the loft ladder I got in Lidl yesterday for £34!

Have fun all...

Unbelievable. I on other hand spent it lazing on a sun lounger in a bar by the beach.

I am in Riga. Apparently one of the top 10 facts about Latvia is:

8. Its women have model looks

Latvia produces more female models per capita that almost any country in the world. Only Estonia, Iceland, Lithuania and Denmark rank higher.

Was on the beach yesterday. My god they are not wrong. Unbelievable.

Saw the new Pirates of the Caribbean yesterday. Load of tosh. Car washing today after the crud picked up on the way to Gotherington for the Hill climb on Sat. Exhibiting in a local car show this coming Saturday... No pressure!

You're right. Totally unbelievable. In fact, my disbelief is so deep and profound that to prove you wrong I need to travel to Riga urgently, armed with a long lens, so I can gather lots of evidence to prove how wrong you are.

Morning all.

Just checked in Me and Alex in for our flights to Rome on Friday. 5 days in Rome for Alex's birthday. So thoroughly looking forward to that, even though Ive been twice before.

Now to do a bit of work and then put some more miles on the GT before Le Mans.

A quick wash and detaily spray stuff and I'm once again amazed at quite how good these cars look. Especially in Grigio Alfieri and with satin anthracite wheels. And a stripe.

Yeah, Andy's definitely winning. I'm on the 0635 From City to Milan for a day trip. Should be fun, but Andy's is streets ahead. Anyway, my day is starting with an empty seat next to me and what I hope will be a couple of hours of good views and better coffee.

Have a good day, everyone.
