Morning all (just),

Commiserations to those above dealing with ball-aches, bad luck and batshit annoying problems - my current one is very minor in comparison but still annoying : the company I work for went digital with all the payroll stuff quite a while ago but some of us can't access our online payslips on the company ipad thanks to the IT department disappearing up their own fundaments. Phone calls and emails aren't being answered either at the moment, oh for the simple life!

In other trivial news, my current and somewhat deep seated obsession with old Jags has resulted in lots of related books and magazines appearing mysteriously in the post (to add to the large number I already have) which means a complete reshuffle of the book shelves and naught cupboards will be required asap. I'd love a MkX / 420G but my garage isn't quite big enough, so a Mk2 / S-Type / 420 / Series 1,2 or 3 XJ / Daimler equivalent is the way forward. It's a massive itch that needs scratching again before I fall off my perch...

We spotted this at NEC, it seemed to tick a lot of boxes Manual, Overdrive (although not from factory), Wires, Power Steering and low miles. Extra tick for me as it's the same age as me well a few months older actually.

I suggested to Mrs Z that we could swap for the SZ but she wasn't keen

Yes I had a good old gander at that one, very nice all round. Still need to sell the Biturbo and one of the Minis first though ;)

Morning everyone looks like the builders have gone into hibernation and will be surprised if anyone turns up today.
On a plus I've got a complete Jetex exhaust system coming for my Manta but boy everything is so expensive compared to prices from an old copy of Triple C back in the day :)
Have a Great day all.

Morning from N. Norfolk. Excellent dinner at The Grove last night. Recommended.

A day walking today I suspect. Have a good one, all

You've got the weather for it, fella. Was shitey yesterday, but waking up to the sun this morning was very pleasant. Also nice to wake up back in my own bed. Not so much with the work thing.

Have a good Friday, all!

It's exactly this kind of thing that renders me incompatible with the NEC Classic Car Show, Andy. I went once and bought a V12 XJS off the Jag Owners Club stand. They were proving you could get a decent Jag for about £2k. They were ******* deluded, is what they proved. I mean, it looked great and drove well... until it didn't drive well, which it liked to do on a monotonously regular basis. Still, it was fun when it lasted.

Serious question.
Does your Good Lady complain that you walk too fast as I'm far taller than Ms French ?

Morning all, no work today so car fettling and general pootling about will suffice - found a better way of securing the new trident badge on the Biturbo's boot lid (it fell off the other day!), the '68 Mk2 Cooper's new starter motor needs fitting, but at least the massive fuel leak in the FIAT 500 is now fixed.

Still trawling old Jags on car&classic too, will this self torture ever end...? ;)

Yes it's rather lovely around here at the moment!

Serious question.

I tend to slow my pace quite a lot. Then she insists on walking 10 paces behind me. Says I'm going too fast. So I point out that she's keeping up fine, just 10 paces behind me....

Perhaps she's trying to tell me something ;)

Good morning all. Raining here ….. again. F1 qualifying at 8 at the tacky Las Vegas Grand Prix. The USA are certainly bringing they individual stamp on F1 at the moment…Bloody aweful.
