Quite excited and apprehensive at the same time this morning!

Sports Italia got a call yesterday telling them to expect the delivery of a black maser this morning.. Nobody's contacted me though, so fingers crossed it's mine! Last saw it being low loaded to some garage in Gap at the end of Sep after conquering mount Doom in southern France. Hope the engine is not goosed after dumping all the coolant.

Need new bonnet gas struts too after Mrs Dr Eb nearly got brained as she was venting her displeasure at the car for stranding her in the middle of nowhere.

However what a welcome sight when a posse of other masers roar to the rescue. Unfortunately masers are **** rescue cars as they have no space! So thanks to @2b1ask1 for taking our luggage and @RoaryRati for taxiing us to the hotel in their sensible hire cars.

Fingers crossed for a happy ending.

Fully understand the apprehension - we dashed down to Southampton to check Roary over when he was returned (and he's still having a few grumbles about his abandonment but we're hoping exercising him a bit will stop them!! - or maybe he just wants to pester SI again...). Ditto crossed fingers for a happy ending.

Morning all. Another busy day, but fortunately not meetings booked in! Yet! Will try and finish early as I've a Lego Ferraro SP3 to continue building. Zero progress has been made over the last week.

Camber Sands would be better than Denmark! Tax-wise, anyway. Plus you'd have the cachet of working somewhere that featured in a Squeeze song, something I don't believe Denmark ever managed. Don't rule it out.

Good luck, in any case.

Top of the morning to you all. I hope your days start shiney and bright. Cyprus seems well today, but my diary tells me I shall spend it grafting. Whilst my 'office' here is less comfortable than at home it's pleasantly warm and the bars at the harbour are a bit more lively.
Didn't Madness sing a song about a Danish town?
Aarhus...

Anyway, good morning everyone. Got the flu jab today. See NHS thread. Now setting about painting the dining and back room area...6music on and brew first...

Morning all…. Eb, hope the car arrives safely and repairs are not too painful.

Busy morning for calls and admin, but am now heading to Luton as I am business dinner to attend this evening.

Enjoy our afternoons

Gooooood morning, all. Still feeling a bit under the weather. Which is especially apt, given that the weather is Here. Monsoon rains overflowing ditches and drains, and then temps bottom out tonight.

WFH today but Big Video thingies at noon and 18:00, with assorted and sundry tasks.

Looking at a 2K bill to eradicate the heartworm on the stray we took in, so totally feel the pain. Hope all cars are where they should be...on the road. And hope all are having a lovely Wednesday!

Morning everyone - big day for me today. Resigned from my previous job (due to intense boredom arising from most of my area of responsibility disappearing due to Mr. Putin's vanity) and left beginning of October. Had a month and a half of getting household DIY sorted out out. Just when I thought "suppose I'd better look for a job" I got headhunted for what would be my dream job. Two interviews have passed and I get the answer today. Don't want to count my chickens but it's looking promising. Paused spending any money on most things (including Villanelle) just to be on the cautious side so it'll be nice to get back to speed at work and on the car. What with one thing and another it's been a tough year so I'm very much hoping it's going to end very well. Wish me luck!
Well - I got the job so a) no longer going to be bored and b) back to getting Villanelle fettled :)
