Good Sunday morning...been up for a few, dealing with dogs and morning meditation and redeyes (usual morning drinks). Wound up having a lovely day with the 18 year old yesterday, and got to spoil her a little. Of course, that spilled over on the others so all seemed happy by end of day.

Raining hard but really warm. Will read the Sunday papers, make some frames for the art C is planning to sell at a show next month, and then try and come to terms with my calendar for next week.

These four days have been the longest i've gone without doing work/work in several years. Which is sad, really. Oh, well.

Hope everyone has had a nice, restful, relaxing day thus far!

Did you and Dan get the Mini ?

Yes Phil, a little beauty. I drove it back and had forgotten how good they are even in Mini One form. Yes we shall see if the engine goes bang and keep and eye on that timing chain etc but I had it all checked by BMW Mini and it was given a clean bill of health. It has been serviced every year from new and a 6 month warranty will be handy if anything goes wrong. Body work is in great condition and no wear on the interior but wheels could do with a refurb. Dan is over the moon and is still sat in it in the garage. Gave it my usual treatment when I got home and she looks very pretty.

Well done, Andy. A boy's first car is a special thing. I remember mine with far more affection than my first sh@g (although I confess I was far more grateful for the latter).

Morning, all. Kitchen demolition starts today, which is why we're in Cyprus where the weather is warmer and drier and the kitchen not only works but also exists.

Have a good week, all.

Morning all, dealing with backlog caused by a supplier outage yesterday but overall for the peak weekend much better than normal.

Nice car Andy my youngest wants her car to be yellow although as I keep trying to explain to her the chance she will get insured it about as remote as me finishing it in the next 3 years.

Morning all, absolute nightmare start for me.
Left home just after 6am for a 59min journey to Woking.
Huge crash opposite side of the m25 caused first delay and then another accident on the Chertsey Road heading into Woking closed the road.
Eventually arrived at 8.30 and now ready for my breakfast.

Hopefully the day will get better

Morning everyone - big day for me today. Resigned from my previous job (due to intense boredom arising from most of my area of responsibility disappearing due to Mr. Putin's vanity) and left beginning of October. Had a month and a half of getting household DIY sorted out out. Just when I thought "suppose I'd better look for a job" I got headhunted for what would be my dream job. Two interviews have passed and I get the answer today. Don't want to count my chickens but it's looking promising. Paused spending any money on most things (including Villanelle) just to be on the cautious side so it'll be nice to get back to speed at work and on the car. What with one thing and another it's been a tough year so I'm very much hoping it's going to end very well. Wish me luck!

That's gorgeous - "Norfolk Mustard"? Lotus used to be one of my customers. Remember seeing the prototype tub of the Elise when it was going through development.
