The good morning thread

To is a day of rest and relaxation and enjoying the weather.

Gazebo up in the garden to give more shade and a large fan at the end of the garden table to at least move the warm air around, we have a BBQ later with family and friends.

My TR6 is currently my daily driver and there can be no better way of keeping cook than pootling around country lane with the top down (of course hat and sun cream is a must).

I say, embrace the hot weather but do take sensible precautions.

Morning all, up and at it in a bit, changing the front brake disks and pads on Christine’s Kia and then worry about staying cool. No doubt a few dips in the (reduced temp) hot tub will help.

Have fun all…

Again ?
What's going on then Matt ?
It’s fooked so I am replacing the lot. Phil, what’s the process for undoing 42 year old brake lines and not twisting the ends off? I’ve soaked the shite out of it, heat?

Nuts turn / releasing from the wheel cylinders but the end don’t spin on the brake pipe and just want to twist.

wire brushed, soaking every hour in 3n1 oil, still nada. The lines are good so don’t want to go replacing them

If rust penetrate won't free them it's quicker and easier to make new pipes up.
You just don't know what stress you might have caused if you get it undone that could fail later.
