What a beautiful cake Andy.....Did it taste as good as it looked.

Awesome Andy, inside was a layer of cream and strawberries - hand made by the local cafe and about the same price as a pre-made themed cake from Tesco. The locals have some great skills and don't try to rip you off, love living here

Morning all, got the plasterer starting this morning to replaster the back room that was bodged 20+ years ago and bugs me so much I won’t go in there. Also got the sparky in upgrading the MCB on the consumer unit to cope with the post lift.

many spare time will be on site locally.

Have fun all...

James? Send him my best and tell him we're still well illuminated here. I finally unfucked the fuckery on the man-cave lights and now the whole place lights up like a pinball machine when I want it to. Top chap.

Morning, all. After a full-on (ish) first three days of the week I'm taking this morning and most of tomorrow off. As it already feels like Friday for some reason that seems like by far the most sensible approach.

It is indeed James and he is yet to show up... said he’d be here at 9, plasterer is well underway and I’ve removed all the lights and tattle off the walls etc.

Morning all. Not much going on today.

Finish just after lunch to start my prep for our house completion tomorrow.

I say prep. Basically emptying the junk out of Alex's car so I can use it to take my bikes to the new house tomorrow.
I fear emptying her car will take longer than the actual move itself!

Well the sparks, I and Alex managed to figure it out and essentially the post lift is now finally working!!! We did however manage to snap the balancer cable in the faffing about! £58 replacement from Germany and she’ll be right. So a successful day in the end.

Eugh, Friday at last. Gotta love 3 day weeks. I'll pop into work as lockdown will mean me staying at home for a long while again.

Morning all, over to Islington again today to try and finish off the job. Raining steadily so not going to be an enjoyable day.

Have fun all...

Morning all, I want a cup of what ever Andy started the day with ;)
To be fair I think he probably already drank it all! Could have been this stuff?
Her Indoors usually feeds this to any tradesmen doing work for us. Amazing difference in work rate!

Morning, all. **** cold and wet weather, bad day for a day off. Well, mostly a day off. A couple of calls and that'll be it.

I'll be glad when the heating's warmed things up a bit. We have a Nest self-learning thermostat, and exactly what it thinks it's learned isn't abundantly clear. In fairness, it's not really had any cold days to figure out what kind of schedule would make sense, but I'm curious to see what it gets up to.

Have a good day, all. Andy, steady on the 'shrooms, man.
