Change of plans... Back in bed - struck down by man-flu and more nosebleeds. Not really ideal to travel to west London in this state.

Sorry to hear that Drew

Late post this morning. Woke up to a rash of warning emails that my NAS had suffered a drive failure. No important data loss. New drive en route for pre noon delivery tomorrow. Just ball ache.

have a great day all

It's Hilton Doha Adam. Not too shabby!

The view looks familiar, Phil. I've not stayed at the Hilton so I must be thinking of somewhere else. Stayed in the Interconti City last time (Al Jazeera has a good rate there) but prefer the hotels by the beach. They suffer less from Doha's interminable dust from its constant building work.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Drew. Chin up. Or is it down? I can never remember with nosebleeds.

I thought Northerners are made of hard stuff??

joking my man, all the best.........

I appear to be mostly composed of liquid, from inspection of what's pouring out of my face mate.

Hard to tell OB - chin down means it pours out everywhere, chin up means I choke, cough and spit it out anyway. Choices, choices...

Either way I thought ruining a suit and getting the train to London and back wasn't going to happen. At least the leather on my desk at home is already red :)

Morning all & happy Diwali to those celebrating.

Off to Leicester this evening to celebrate my half Indian heritage along with Nicola who is the same mix as me.

Have a good one everybody and I hope those colds clear up for those affected. I blame the early switch on of the central heating myself with all of the germs manifesting themselves in these warm, draft-free homes!

Morning all, late on here as an early start on site to get ready for a 10.00 meeting that is a no show!!! Blinking bad form! More than a little peeved right now. One more site then a dash back to Essex and SS&s to get suited up for a meeting in St James' later....

Oh what fun we are all having; feel for you Drew, countless nosebleeds myself over the years, they always strike when it is inconvenient...

Enjoy the celebrations! I blame the infection on the germ-filled tube-trains I've been catching. Much better when I can be in my own car.
If only this place was draft-free... ;)

Hate those no-shows Newton - feel for you mate.

Nosebleeds aren't common for me, so it came as quite some surprise. Astonishing how what I know must be a relatively tiny amount of blood can spread around like there's been an accident with a chainsaw.

Cheers Drew & yes, I don't miss the daily grind on the tubes - 1989 to 2006 for me apart from a few years of a daily drive from Wimbledon to Notting Hill, all in the past now thankfully!
