Hi Guys,
just got the GT out of storage today and have a few issues: no ac, no radio, no satnav. I have 99 flashing up on the ac control panel and this on the dash. All was fine before it went in. The storage Co. says it's been on trickle but now I'm wondering if they let it run flat and I need a system reset or they didn't disconnect the + and screwed the system? See pics attached.

Not so great Roger, no harm in doing a system reset but its a bit worrying all those errors in one hit. Good luck.

check the fuse's all the errors and all relatively local to each other wouldn't surprise me if they shared one or more fusees

Hi Roger. May be worth giving your local MD / indie a call and getting an opinion from them. Hopefully a reset will do the trick but in any case stick it on a bettery conditioner for a day and let us know how you get on. Good luck.

How old is car, battery age too? It could have been on its way out before storing, even a trickle charge won't bring it back to life, ergo they were trying to keep a 90% dead battery alive and it died anyways. So check if battery has any charge, if not stick a new one in, see if after been reset any of them clear before fully turning key to start car. You'd need to enter a radio code too if battery was dead as it appears.

But maybe phone an indie first and seek advice

Right after searching for 3 hrs on the sometimes useful www I found this:http://www.maseratilife.com/forums/quattroporte/14801-system-not-programmed-error.html

So right now I'm going to hang my hat on this chain of events, also because the clock was wrong so cant see how it could be anything else.

Spoke to the storage Co. "the professionals" last night, they know what they are doing, and they denied not having it on charge mmmmmmmmmm so once I get some road tax and fuel in it tomorrow I'll do the initial reset and let you know how I get on and if this works and who's going to pay for the hard fault to be cleared.

I think I'll fit a battery conditioner, used these before and then I know this cant be repeated.

set it upright first of all, it might be objecting to being on its side ;-)

seriously though, my car had those symptoms when the battery went flat. Charged it and its been spot on ever since

That's encouraging JP, lets just hope a booster pack has not fried the electrics.

My money on a reset to sort.

I've found someone very local, speaking to my MOT guy today who's ex..... He's going to have a look on Wed. Reset didn't work so my money is now on a fuse.
I'll report back.

OK and........... the problem was a 10A fuse had blown in the CCM module under the steering wheel. Why it blew, well anyone's guess! So those of you that said fuse xxxxxxx!
The theory is that a spike in the current poss due to the battery charger being connected with either the ignition on and or the battery almost or completely flat blew the fuse. The diagnostics can't tell us that unfortunately.
When I went to see the car back in Nov I just can't remember seeing a charger lead sticking out of the boot, now that's a good 9 weeks since it was delivered there. I do remember thinking to myself mmmm no charger on the battery???? so...........mmmmmmm.
Anyway thank you for your support guys and a big thank you to David at Auto Revive for resetting the system for me and charging a very reasonable price for doing so.
I'm not going through this again and to damage limit others involvement I've got myself a trickle charger and comfort connect panel now and I'll fit it in the next week or so. This way I'm hoping it's a little more idiot proof if I have to give others responsibility above their remit.:strangle:

Glad we could of been assistance mate, fuses blow all the time so it might of just been "!time"
i remember i was selling a car a long time ago, loved the car but needed the funds, sat in the car and had a long chat with her, then someone came to view her, and Nothing worked right , no wipers no stereo no indicators.. car was fine that morning when i prep'ed her went to work and the wife showed the people around the car,, when i got home after persuading the people to come back for a second view i looked her over, and she had blown just one fuse.. why it blew i have no idea but i like to think she didnt want to leave me ;)
i fixed the fuse the people came around again and i sold her .

I'd bet the same. Just run a voltmeter over the battery to see where it's at. I used to get flat batteries all the time, I'd whip it out, charge it up and things would be fine. I've never been frighted by a bunch of warning lights. I got used to it with two years of 3200 ownership. :)

Good point I'll put a meter across it and see what is says just in case the battery is loosing it's edge, the trickle will certainly stop any further battery issues.
