quote "It is against state policy to pave over a deer" do they mean that's written on some sort of policy document , thou shall not pave over dead animals :lol2:

Exactly the thought that went through my head! And is it deer specifically, or any dead animal?

There’s probably something in the specs about not containing organic material (it decomposes and leaves voids).

Pennsylvania Dept of Transportation workers literally paved over a dead deer...guess this doesn't qualify for the "Differences" thread...
Probably a case of a miss-understood directive: "Fix it any way you can - as long it's not 2 deer"...

What is this "reading" thing that you are going on about?

Not a joke but something reminded me of the time I was talking to a truck driver who'd just got his licence back

He'd been done for speeding and was due for a ban under totting up so they had him in front of the magistrates to hear his mitigating circumstances

Need a licence to feed my kittens etc

They listened but decided to ban him anyway

When does this ban start

Now

Right, well that's going to be a problem then, I've come in the truck and it's completely blocking your car park, he gave them the keys and went home on the bus with them moaning at him as he left, "I can't move it you've banned me" as he walked away
