I'm with you. I think 'terrible jokes' and most things should be taken un-seriously. But I just feel if you don't call out hate when you see it, then you are complicit.
I find Wattie's post, basically saying
'fit teen babes, posing for male appreciation to win a scholarship, must be cross that a fat bloke got the prize' absurd and annoying, but I guess I would let it pass.
But
'a biological male claiming to be a woman should be killed' is too much to just slip by.
Also, in the trans debate 'biological' gets my goat. What they mean is 'My
brain tells me with certainty that your gender is absolutely defined by your
anatomy, not by your, er,
brain.
And why the obsession with trans? A group of gammony geezers I was with the other day, were arguing hotly that trans was "ruining women's sport". But it turned out they could not
name a single woman playing professional team sports. They have zero interest in women's sports, but are just industriously finding excuses to attack a tiny group of people they fear or dislike.
'Woke is a joke' is just a shorthand for highlighting rare silliness as an excuse to go on being seriously unpleasant to marginalised people.
There is no 'religious element', unless you mean selectively picking out bits of the Bible, Koran etc that allow you to oppress whoever you currently want to oppress.
This is the 'religious element':
