Inventing Anna on Netflix

I'd listened to the Anna Delvey podcast on BBC sounds so I knew the story , she conned some of the most influential people ,banks and hotels in New York out $270,000 by convincing them she was heiress to a $60m fortune when in reality she hadn't got a pot to **** in

Heard about this story on the internet a while back and saw this come so must get around to watching it.

Whilst the world went nuts for Twin Peaks I went for Northern Exposure which I thought was so funny at the time; humour most septic tanks would never get! I wonder if I could find it anywhere now?

Never liked twin peaks but like you Northern Exposure was brilliant.

Loved Northern Exposure when it came out. Oddly it's not aged terribly well. Twin Peaks I finally watched a couple of years back, and loved.

Yes I too was a fan of Northern Exposure. As with all these things, the fizz ran out once the doc and the pilot finally did the deed.

Wisting. Part of the taste for Scandi noir.
In short. It's horrible.
For more reasons than I have time to one finger type.
One example. All the Scandi characters were wooden.
I think, since Carrie Moss is in it, they decided to take a break and let her carry it.
Except, no one told her. She mainly looks grumpy. Perhaps because she
realises that it's a car crash and they have her passport. I stuck it for two episodes.

Ozark
Don't know how I missed this , just watched the first episode , it's good
Yes, good entertaining US drug thriller nonsense. Well made, good characters, great music. Usual flaws with multi-series show but overall we enjoyed it.

I’m absolutely addicted to Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown on Netflix and Amazon Prime (with adverts). Just brilliant.

Indeed. I thought he was absolutely great. Loved all his series and his books. He had a **** of a life and sorted himself out. I suspect that was the root of what seemed an absolutely genuine approach to life. Such a shame he died so young.

Managed to eat in Les Halles in NYC once. Fabulous to be there, but like Tom's Diner, sometimes it's best not to meet (or eat) your heroes ;)

I re-watched Northern Exposure on DVD a few months ago. It was a nostalgic pleasure, but felt very dated.

I'm loving Resident Alien - dark, wry, zany, slightly alarming comedy with a touch of heart

Also The Great - violent, psychopathic, bawdy, silly romp loosely based on the early days at Court of Catherine the Great. Nicholas Hoult is superb as the offhandedly amoral Peter, and Elle Fanning adorable as the cute but steely Empress Catherine.

And another shout out for Lilyhammer

Series 2 of Resident Alien is now on Sky.

Billy Connelly Does…..Just an epic series…..Billy is the best comedian to ever live…. end of (Well
Is for me) But his outlook on life is something that makes me smile and it makes me think about how I see things. Bloody brilliant.
