Bizarre scarlett Johannsen film on britbox

Under the skin

She plays an alien who seduces young men to their death in Glasgow
**** it looks bleak
It's shot guerilla style in that a lot of the people she's interacting with aren't actors and have no idea they're in a film with a Hollywood A lister

Just finished The Undoing this week, I knew who the perp would be but even then all the way through I was telling myself it couldn't be.

Rewatching The Virtues now.

Watching Meet The Richardsons now (The Virtues was depressing me) - I find it hilarious, how did I miss it?

The Spy with the husband of Isla Fsher is in it (cue for a photo of her?) He plays an Israeli spy infiltrating Syria in the 60's. It's a six part mini series, each around 45 mintues long so won't take up all of your week day evenings.

Has anyone watched “The Handmaid’s Tale” on Amazon prime? It’s a series set in a dystopian future where women are basically enslaved, and it’s incredibly dark.

I amused myself through it by attempting various serious discussions with my partner around some of the principles being very valid, telling her that there would be consequences for her insubordination etc etc. Weirdly, she thought I was joking.

Started watching The Barrier on Netflix, seems ok so far and is a fairly good watch. Mixes a virus, child testing to find the vaccine and a Nazi type regime in futuristic Spain....

Another one, Lilyhammer. It's about a Mafia boss who turns and goes into hiding in Lillehammer, Norway. Except old habits die hard.
Now this is a comedy.!

Happy! On Netflix, not for the Squeamish Or easily offended but soooo funny and twisted. Explores the dark side of human psyche. Just watched first series, number 2 from tomorrow

The dubbing is pretty comical.

No dubbing, original language and subtitles , after a while your brain gets used to it and you're barely aware you're reading them

Plus it stops me dicking about on my phone as I miss something if I do

I bought a shellfire vpn so I could switch netflix to USA but the foreign language is dubbed by default because America doesn't do foreigners , you're not wrong it is awful, makes it unwatchable, thankfully I've found out you can change it back to original language and subs

Seen some decent dubbing, German films mostly, they seem to make an effort to act and sync to lip movements but watched a few dubbed in Russian and it's awful, just two dubbers, one man, one woman, no effort to act or sync, and you can hear the English underneath. I cant watch those.

Double helping of John Wayne on the BBC iPlayer. Apologies if this has been mentioned earlier.

Easy watching on Netflix a film/documentary about Spock, Leonard Nimoy, directed by his son, "For the love of Spock"
Funny seeing him before Star Trek as an Indian in B&W cowboy films!
